Oh ok. Well that was the 3rd INT which I think was the confusion.

When I said 2nd I meant the player's 2nd INT, not the team's. I could have been more clear.

Unless he had 3 INTs. Then it was his 3rd.

There was a receiver behind more when he caught the pick lmao. That's who he was throwing at lmao

He would have made the same mistake vs McNeese, Bowling Green, or UTEP; it had nothing to do with the defense.

if he recognized the coverage why did he throw a pick?

You held one of the best offenses you will see to 13 points, zero in the second half. Anyone who doesn't want to give you credit for it just being foolish.

i'm generally a huge fan of south carolina fans and spurrier again showed us legendary status is earned by basically winning a game without a qb (crazy). but...

that game was a gift from the north carolina coaches and their quarterback. still, to your point, great plays by the s.c. defenders.

Maybe because it was 4th down and he had to make a play?

Maybe because he's a pretty bad passer?

It certainly wasn't because he was confused by the coverage.

Let's not forget the last gift was on 4th down. Even if they don't throw a pick, still a good chance they don't convert.

All we SCAR fans can do is sit back this weekend and enjoy being 1-0. Once a few of these other teams don't come out like a well oiled maching and don't all win 50-0 and look a little sloppy all the attention will be off of us. It happens every year. We play first game of the year, get critiqued for 2 days over the first game of the year, and then Saturday a few Non power 5 schools give some other teams a good game and everyone realizes that their team isn't as good as they thought. Everyone thinks their team is going to win at least 9 games this year and that'snot gonna happen.

There were no open receivers and it was fourth down. Defense deserves 100% credit. Was going to be a turnover regardless.

From what it looked like, there was about a 3% chance they convert that 3rd down. That doesn't make his decision or that throw any better.

He would have been better off tucking and running. Dude's passer ability looked to be on par with Anthony Jennings.

Bottom line: our defense made plays and got pressure that we couldn't do for the most part last season. We're beginning to look like that fast angry defense that SC was once known for..

Don't insult the awesome defenses yal used to have by comparing them to the shitsuckers who played last night. Yal's defenses used to be nasty. The back seven on that defense last night could be timed with a sundial. Deep in's, wheels and posts were open all day, Williams just sucks. Yal used to smother rushing attacks not let Hood go in dry on yal every time Fedora grew a brain and gave him the ball.

The DL looks a little better (couldn't look worse), but not really sure if it's a result of Williams' terrible pocket presence or actual pass rush. Yal will be ~.500 again this year.

Never said otherwise. That doesn't mean the INT wasn't a gift.

I'm not sure why the USCe fans are so worked up about people calling it a gift. Every team will have a turnover or two called a gift every single game.

VT beat OHIO STATE?? LOL OHIO STATE SUCKS! URBAN IS A JOKE. NO WAY THEY CAN HANG WITH BAMA!

Let's act like we know everything after 1 game with a new DC.

Say what you want, dumb plays or not, the highly touted UNC offense that all the tiger fans said would score 40 on us did not score in the 2H. I don't care if the "should've".

Our garbage defense gave up less yards and significantly less points (35 vs 13) than your all world defense gave up the same team (a year younger) at your place last year.

Please advise. TIA.

ETA: HOLY CRAP. Williams (who sucks) threw 4 td's and 345 yards against you guys (at your place)?
