I think it's because Hugh Freeze said he was a wife beater, and that LT only attacked him because he was hitting his Mom. The step dad says that all he did was argue with the mom and LT about allowing agents to interfere with his college career. He says he never got physical with the Mom and LT beat the hell out of him for arguing about the agents. If he isn't a wife abuser, Freeze sure told the world he is/was.
Nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's the safest/best way to handle situations like this. Don't offend anyone, especially someone who could get pissed and get diarrhea of the mouth to the Clarion Ledger, NCAA investigators, etc.

@mrosekNFL: Rumor was Laremy Tunsil flipped from UGA to Ole Miss after they offered 100K and Natl. Champ. tix. His stepfather is now backing that claim.

That guy is a UGA student. I wouldn't know about the reliability of what he says.
ETA: I'd say the same if it was an Ole Miss person that had "proof" that nothing happened. I hate rumors, especially when there is one side of a recruiting battle that won and another that seems spurned at the last minute.

Hope y'all's feet are nice and dirty. We got a new doormat in the West to clean our feet on.

The 2016 OM recruits that haven't received their bag of cash yet may be big losers out of this.

Is it true that a backup QB was practicing with the ones in spring practice at LT? I heard them talking about that on Sirius 91, but couldn't believe that would actually have been the case.

How reliable do you have to be to report well known rumors from the past?
I'd be more worried about players parents talking than the scorned fans other teams.
I'm sure this stepdad has some kind of info too. When you're seat at the table is so tenuous, gotta have a lifeline. He's probably going to make more money from rival boosters for spilling everything than laremy was going to give him.

Well sure. If the stepdad comes out and says something at this point, then take it and run.
A random twitter account, however, is another thing entirely. The step dad most likely isn't in contact with that guy at all, so how does he know?

Isn't $100,000 steep. All we gave sCam was a Barnhill's Buffet card and free MSU cheese for life.

Accepting transportation from agents (as in riding around with them) ends Tunsil's college eligibility.

Ole Miss has already cited an NCAA precedent regarding to our allegations. A player from USC got a four game suspension.
A legitimate argument could be made to look over this alleged rule violation based on the the alleged ride allegedly took place to get Tunsil away from his abusive step-father. You could say that the agent was doing a good deed as a concerned citizen.....allegedly.

Actually sounds like Miller was trying to look out for his stepson and the prick beat him up.
Yes...he's so concerned about his step-son that he's trying to dime him out to the NCAA, end his college career, and cost him million of dollars. Sounds real concerned to me.
Sounds more to me like things were going well between him and Tunsil's mother...and he realized he was about to miss out on his lifelong meal ticket.

Wouldn't shock me. Dude is like 300 lbs.
Jeremy Liggins is his name. He's listed on the depth chart as a LT.

Correct...If a car-ride with an agent is all that the NCAA has on Tunsil, then Tunsil can pay the agent back for his services....then possibl a few games suspension.
Idiots on here are acting like the NCAA has more on us than Blue Mountain State.

On the other hand, that stepson could have just destroyed his marriage. It's hard to say what is going on without knowing the facts.

Unfortunately precedents aren't really precedents at all when it comes to the NCAA. They can do whatever they feel like, really
