Georgia Tech isn't Tennessee. The Auburn hiatus ended FOREVER ago. Step away from the ledge.

I think it is funny when lsu fans talk smack about a program that has more major NCAA violations and vacated wins due to cheating than lsu...

Some people want to play by the rules, others want to win at all costs.
But isn't that a bit off-topic?

Interesting. I never knew tech was in their fight song

Deflect and spin it any way you want, UT is a better program than lsu historically. That is an undeniable fact.
As for Bama vs. lsu... well, there's simply no comparison.

You are so far off topic, you can't even see what people are actually talking about. Go Harvey in another thread.

Thank goodness for the 1930's and '40s where Tennessee dominated.

I'm not the one who brought up UT being down, but I am more than happy to remind you clowns that the Vols have more overall wins than lsu, more SEC championships than lsu, and have beaten lsu more than twice as often as lsu has beaten them.

Florida has truly been a tough challenge the last 5 years.
That's still way better than:
7-6
5-7
5-7
5-7
6-7
7-6
5-7
But at least Tennessee doesn't have any vacated wins in there.
And I don't think you'd find that many LSU fans that are suddenly so concerned with protecting the UF rivalry.
Many of us want more opportunities to kick Smokey while he's down.

Point is for the last few years both Tennessee and Florida have sucked for the majority of them. Nobody has gained much of an advantage playing one or the other.

No, the point is that records don't matter, the schedule needs to be balanced in terms of frequency of play and travel within the conference.

The topic is the Bama/UT rivalry; obviously, UT constitutes 1/2 of that rivalry... your inability to comprehend does not mean I am off topic.

Who's deflecting, why aren't you talking about why Alabama is suddenly so concerned about protecting a rivalry?

The only ones bringing that up are Bamatards. That actually IS deflecting from the topic at hand.
Irony can be so ironic sometimes.

Then add a 9th game. If we are just going to do away with games that have been played for 100 years then lets just get rid of conferences and start an NFL style division system, because I'd much rather play North Carolina and Miami than Missouri and Vanderbilt.

The funniest part about the ridiculous "TSIO must be protected at all costs!!! It's turditttiiooon!" mentality is that the game isn't even played on the freaking third Saturday in October anymore.
Traditions and rivalries an change, the world won't end. It's unbelievable that LSU won't play at Mizzou until 2021
And the Gump solution of a 9 game schedule is strongly opposed by UF and UGA. An 8 game no permanent opponent schedule is way easier (and a 9 game no permanent is perfect). Play UT OOC if it means so much to both schools.

It isn't going to happen because of home-away balance. The SEC actually has large crowds and lots of money. It isn't the PAC-12 where many of the games are lightly attended and home-away balance doesn't matter.
