You say "for no reason" like you were walking down the sidewalk eating ice cream and a group of cops jumped you. While police are certainly capable or doing some messed up things I think "for no reason" is probably a biased remark. I find it funny when I go on a scene and ask someone what they said that got them into a fight. "Well officer, I kindly asked the gentleman to move aside. Then he just punched me" and then upon further investigation I find out he threaten to kill the man's kids before getting punched. You say "for no reason" and I'm telling you that very rarely do police do anything for no reason. Do police do things for a stupid reason? Yes. The wrong reason. Yes again. But not for no reason.

I assume that you read my experience I posted in this thread. In my 44 years, that was the ONE encounter with a LEO that was bad.....very bad. I have had several driving related encounters where the officers were professional and polite. I appreciate what you do for work and to earn a living. My respect for a LEO is no different than my respect for an electrician, plumber, physician, teacher, etc.. who does their job professionally. Respect is earned and like in any profession, there are those who do not earn respect ,yet, demand it anyway. The mad man who accosted me did not deserve my respect but received it anyway because I knew it was in my best interest to not incite him to do something even crazier than what he was already doing. If my plumber, or say the manager of a store feels disrespected by me than we have several options. We can even fight if it came to that. However, if you are unfortunate enough to encounter one of these abusive, power tripping type of cops and you know you have done nothing wrong or illegal .....and you as much as question the harassment, their is no diversity of solutions. His anger at your lack of respect typically results in physical harm to you and trumped up charges. Now, granted, I know this happens in a very, very low % of stops and it is done by a very, very low % of cops. But it does happen and I have no doubt that you know this and might have actually seen it at some point in your career.
I guess the question is how can the LE profession do a better job of making sure that the people wearing the badge and carrying the gun is mentally equipped to do the job? To insure that a meathead just wanting a license to "bust heads" is kept far away from this position of authority?

Did you read my two instances earlier in the thread? Do you think the cops were out of line?

Wanna see how big a dick the police can be? I have several friends that are in a MC....one of the BIG 3 according to ATF. I'm not a badazz and would prolly be the first dude running out the door if they ever started anything, which they don't. I met them 9 or 10 years ago when they started an annual ride for our local children's home who my mother happens to be the director of. The last few years local police, ATF and SLED have all but shut it down. They follow, take pictures and in general harass everybody in it to the point that the non MC riders just don't think it's worth it. They average between 5 and 6 grand for the ride, and even bring toys and stuff by at Christmas.
I'm 49 so I'm not naive to what some of em do, but that one day a year they could back the frick off. I will admit it is funny to watch em "salute" the ATF guy taking pics. They truly don't give a frick.

The motorcycle clubs should stop selling drugs if they don't want the cops following them around.

I guess the Cops on here aren't going to read my posts or address my questions or concerns.
But you probably don't have time for that like the Cop who executed Kieth Vidal.

Or maybe you just want to blow my face off like you did this Baby's?

People are tired of your "not all Cops are bad" mantra.

They don't give a frick but the average rider doesn't wanna be harassed the whole day. They are the ones paying the $25 bucks to ride in the benefit.

Again you are sitting on your couch reading news articles about police misconduct and convoluting a nationwide police abuse conspiracy in your head.
You don't know how it is to deal with these situations. They are rapidly evolving and you must make decisions very quickly. I'm not saying the officers were right to shoot the mentally ill kid I'm just saying neither do you. You weren't there! Stop pretending you know something we don't. By the way "all cops are not bad" is not a mantra. It's the truth.

Im sorry for your bad expierance with that officer. If the officer did treat you as you say than that is obviously unprofessional and needs serious attention. I think that officers do need accountability on the job. Use of body packs and cameras are extremely important. As far as hiring standards that varys with departments. Some are very rigrious (like my department) and some not so much. Even at my agency have had some officers do some very dumb things over the years. So just like in any profession you cannot eliminate it. It's human nature. At that point you fire them and move on.

Yes I do.
You'd know that if you read my posts in this thread.
Furthermore, shouting "you don't know how it feels!" doesn't work for hormonal 13 year old girls & it certainly doesn't work for adults.
How about this guy? He did nothing wrong but the Cops executed him. What's your excuse here for two in the back of a 61 year old mans head?

Why is it the Cops are NEVER wrong?

What's your point? Do you think those officers went to that house wanting to execute anyone? I doubt it. Was that a fatal error in information giving on a search warrant? Yea, and a sad error that needs answering to. Should the officers lose there job? Probably...but if I believed in good faith that I was doing a search warrant on the right house and when I entered the house someone fired a weapon at me that I wouldn't return fire? Yes I believe I would. It's the same idea behind stories of people who walk into thier home and see someone lurking in the shadows and shoot them, only to find out that it was a suprise birthday party guest. Is it tragic? Yes. Does it need correction? Absolutely! But it is not an execution! Come on have some sense!
You also said you do know what it's like. May I ask where you served as a law enforcement officer at?

Generally speaking when you are kitted up for the battle of Fallujah and double tap a man who was belly down hand cuffed - I'd say all indicators point towards yes.
God Damn me all to hell if I ever or have ever described or presented myself as a LEO.
Have you ever heard of The Battle of Macias? I ask because you and your kind exemplify all the hubris and inflexibility of James Moore.

Cops are scum and they execute innocent citizens with complete impunity.

Absolutely.

Fixed that for you. They execute all citizens with apparent impunity, guilt or innocence be damned, not that they are appointed as executioners anyway.
I've addressed the problems with cops elsewhere. Until cops police themselves JUST AS RIGOROUSLY as they do the public at large, the disconnect will grow, fester, and explode.
Explode.

Question, why are cops allowed to park wherever they want, drive like maniacs, and generally cause chaos on the road when their sirens aren't even on...and then turn around and give someone a ticket for running a red light?

My thought as a reasonable person is to try to emphatically communicate with those that think differently than me. As this conversation has lead to name calling and immature remarks it is obvious that those on here doing that have no real desire to see meaningful change. You all simply want to stir things up.
