I'm in my 50's and grew up in the country so I should fit right in. Okie from Muskogee used to be one of my favorite songs and Merle is the man. Besides, I'm too damned old to be associating with cool kids.

Yea it sucks. Starting Wednesday I will be in my room trying to go to sleep and its midnight and I hear bikers going 60mph down Persimmon throttling their pipes. Walk out of my back patio and see donuts all in the grass.

Not necessarily true. Quite a few business owners downtown close because their regular customers are unable to reach them and the BBBQ crowd isn't interested in what they have to offer.
Of course, those business owners can adapt and either sell parking spaces or let a vendor rent space from them... but a lot of us just use it as an opportunity to close down and get out of town.
The bikers tend to spend the majority of their money with the festival vendors, not with the local businesses.

It's my wife's business.
It's a stationery/paper store downtown.

See, I knew those out-of-staters were right and that my money was thrown away by getting an education at the intellectual desert: Until I read this thread I had no clue that all bike riders were doughnut turning members of Hells Angels.

Not necessarily. Your regular customers can't park anywhere near your business so they just stay away all week and you replace them with, for the majority, trashy people who are looking for the cheapest deals possible.
It hurts as many businesses as it helps. Not to mention they pack around 50+ food stands on Dickson which takes away from the restaurant revenue tremendously.

I hated that week. Traffic was bad with douchey inconsiderate bikers who get all pissy when you don't get out of their way when they do some stupid shite.

Especially the 40's 50's men who aren't actually bikers but who like to pretend. frick all those people.

What's your point here? I take it you didn't major in logic, debate, or develop any kind of thinking ability.
Finance isn't a particularly troubling major. Come to think of it, I'm almost shitting myself at the thought of a finance major bragging about their degree. Memorization and basic algebra doesn't make you a genius sir.
