This is not good at all. Even though JW is not flashy, he is consistent and makes all the calls and adjustment for the secondary. My concern meter just went up on this game a lot.

Moncrief had an injury wrap on his wrist but is traveling. Given his experience at Safety I would not be surprised if Holsey moves back there for this game.

Let it begin... I've been trying to figure out why the line is so low on this game...

9 point favorite in a top 20 game on the road is anything but low.

Is he hurt?

I would rather he played, but this is not a catastrophe IMO. If we were playing aTm I would worry more so. If we have practiced knowing he wouldn't be there it should be okay.

Considering all the variables, I believe they are vastly overrated...

Doesn't K-State get most of their production with the run?

I'll be waiting with bated breath as to why. We can't afford to lose Whitehead.

Not good for an already crippled secondary

We've learned that senior FS Jermaine Whitehead is not expected to make the trip to Kansas State.

Whitehead did not board buses for "Reverse Tiger Walk" moments ago as the team left for Columbus, Ga., where its chartered jet then will fly to Manhattan, Kansas.

Whitehead is a three-year starter who missed four plays during the 2013 regular season.

We don't believe it's an injury. Don't know the specifics of any disciplinary actions yet including how long he'll be out.

Fandom is funny. So much talk about how Whitehead is no good and now that he's out everyone is worried.

Also an interesting note per AU Rivals, Kal Bessent is on the 70 man travel roster for this game. As of a few days ago the word was that he was highly likely to be redshirted this season.

He might not be the best, but this is the reason to have concern...

He's been our most consistent playmaker this season and has experience. That's all I care about.

I said in a prior thread in non-hyperbolic fashion that if we lose Whitehead, our season is over. Now we get a chance to see how we do without him against a lesser opponent. Hope I'm wrong.
