Since we lack actual rush DE's, Whitehead coming off the corner has been helpful. We need him.

We should just put it up to a team vote.

That's not the point. JW's value comes from being the leader in the secondary and making all the calls and adjustments back there.

Let's be real here.. Our secondary is bad...We're constantly getting burned and blowing coverages with guys pointing at each other in confussion. Missing his "leadership" will not effect us much I don't think.

It's a pretty big loss. He has the most experience in an already pretty bad Secondary..I still think we win the game big, but this does make me a little uneasy. I assume Holsey may move back to safety?

Yeah, losing that experience on the road in what's likely to be the other school's biggest game in over a decade is a real bummer.

As much as players have struggled it's likely that it would have been worse without Whitehead out there helping to lessen the mistakes.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't see this as that big of a deal... especially if moncrief is close to 100%. It's certainly not ideal, but this is better than losing someone like McKinzy or frost.

hopefully the coaches have known about this for a while and were able to prepare the other DBs to fill that void.

You mean Kris 'didn't record a stat against a conference opponent' Frost?

Nothing other than JGT posting minutes ago that it has nothing to do with weed.

No, I mean Kris 'plays 99% of our defensive snaps' Frost.

This is a team that will go three/four wide and run the ball... it's going to put a ton of pressure on our LBs to make plays in space... those guys are in the box... JH is 30 yards from the LOS when the ball is snapped.
