A person I trust told me this wasn't a first time/isolated incident. His words "JW is on thin ice, and his actions yesterday probably made it worse." Did he do something yesterday publicly to show Gus/Staff up?

word is he went to a very public area yesterday to let it be known n he wasn't traveling. austudent22 also said that he has had issues with arguments in the past and that it is far from guaranteed that we see him again.

So he's basically Jake Holland of the secondary?

As of now, this seems like an isolated incident.
This is not their first issue with JW per PMarsh.

Well, if what is being said about Whitehead being very public about his supension yesterday, there wasn't really much point in sitting on the story. I would imagine that someone else would have gotten it out.

Kind of like I'm sure the F$U staff would have preferred not to have the Jameis Winston story out there before Saturday. Not much chance of something like that not making the news right away.

TIFWIW, I heard there was a fight between Duke Williams and Sammie Coates recently. It may tie into what was said about the bar fight earlier, because this one also happened at the bar.

If true, someone needs to step up on this team and lay down the law.

The senior leadership on this team is piss poor, so none of this is surprising. Hasn't cost us, yet.

My fear is that if/when we lose a game or two, things will start to unravel.

That didn't happen last year after LSU, but we'll see.

You have to keep in mind, most of the upperclassman on this team were not recruited/signed by Gus... and the ones that were are juco transfers. hopefully the younger guys signed by this new staff can shake some of he bad habits still floating around from the chizik era. Gus needs to be a strong enough presence to hold this team together through adversity, the same way Saban and Miles do.

It was pretty evident that there was more going on with the team then just KSt playing well. For some reason the lack of concentration reminded me of the season that Coates called out the seniors for not being good leaders. Hopefully we can stabilize any internal issues before serious damage is done.

man, someone needs to get to the chemistry building and grab some for this year's team. I don't like the vibe coming from the plains right now.
