Not sure why it would be different for Turman, but maybe it would.

I doubt it will be different, but the Jalen Steele situation is still bugging me. I wish a State fan could clarify that situation for me.

The difference between the 2 to me is that Cofer is obviously still very interested in UT and the odds are in their favor. Turman, on the other hand, is clearly not interested in going to UT any more so why would they still restrict him from going to another SEC school?

Yeah his coach said he isn't getting a waiver even though Alabama and Georgia were interested.

Updated look at the board

3* PF Jabari McGhee officially visited yesterday and today, looking likely he will be commitment #1

3* JUCO SG Kevin Punter will officially visit this weekend. Will decide between Tennessee and Mizzou next week.

3* PF Tariq Owens will officially visit next week. Released from his Ohio LOI. Interested in Tennessee, VCU, Seton Hall, among others.

Former commit and PF Phil Cofer will officially visit Tennessee, FSU and VT before deciding.

Southern Miss JUCO PG signee Rashem Suarez seems to be the only S. Miss signee in play. If he asks out of his LOI, he is expected to sign with Tennessee.

Other players potentially on the board:
3* JUCO PF Octavius Ellis
4* PG Shelton Mitchell (released by Wake Forest today)

Tennessee is also expected to sign at least 2 5th year players. Those players have not identified themselves yet though. One will not be known until the summer, according to Tyndall.

TJ Lang pushed back his visit to Auburn. Any idea if he is visiting UT as was reported earlier? I'd really like to land him. He isn't the most athletic kid in the world but he isn't slow either. 6'6 kids that can handle the ball and shoot 53% from the 3 don't exactly grow on trees.

With Thompson's release we are back to 5 scholarships open. Could be 7 with Davis and Hubbs.

Ouch.

Will Tennessee have enough players to field a team next season?

Supposedly a clearinghouse issue that should be cleared up.

He's a talented scorer. A headcase and bad attitude allegedly, but a talent.

That is fine with me. Our best team in school history had Duke Crews, Ramar Smith, Tyler Smith, Josh Tabb, Brian Williams and Cam Tatum. They've combined to commit 15+ felonies since signing with Tennessee.

If Tyndall is going to go the same route as Pearl and go after great-elite players other schools wouldn't touch that's fine. Would honestly prefer that to signing a bunch of Turman, Cornish, Davis, etc. level players who have no attitude/character concerns.

UK's Barry Rohrssen was reason for Detrick Mostella (#44/#85) Pitt commitment. Expecting an UT announcement soon

Would be massive.

I've thrown it up on our board as well.
