No I got P tags baby! It's what we call tags that allow you to park in loading zones. Highly valued.

Why do you need to park in loading zones?

Work. Parking is hard to find downtown so when I need to drop something off I don't need to circle the block a thousand times or park two blocks away.

I'm not a big fan of the personalized license plate fad. It just seems retarded to give the government extra pork for less than nothing.

I do have a collection of license plates going back into the early 20th century I made as a kid it's almost a complete set with I think three missing and the war time years that they didn't issue any.

Is it coming from your salary as a government employee working on federally confiscated land?

Newsflash for you "high-roller": if you work for the National Park service........your wages have to be confiscated from producers like ME.....before they can be given to parasites like you.

Please show some Respect for those that pay your fricking salary. Thanks.

Holy frick.

Won't happen here in FL unfortunately. They have written the law in such a way that essentially you pay a large amount of money, and the legislature can still reject it.

I swear any time I see a boring thread title that has multiple pages of responses I can pretty much tell Jeff has gotten in an argument.

Specialty plates are for old people. My mom wanted one that said "CMomGo". I talked her out of it. I also don't understand the concept of willfully giving more money to the government.

I'm in Colorado and the only college plates they offer (that I am aware of) are for in-state schools.

Sucks...

Well, in my case I was living in enemy territory and didn't want a shitty, generic "sweet home" tag. Plus, I don't really GAS abotu spending the extra $50 or whatever it is to get a unique tag that I like.

My state only offers tags for in state schools as well. But since I'm 50+ I probably fall in the older person category to qualify for a specialty tag. I like wildlife tags which cost a bit more than the standard tags as part of the cost goes to wildlife conservation and I have the bald eagle tag pictured below on the vehicle I drive the most (not the actual letters though).

Completely understand the sentiment. However, in this case, I get to choose how much money I give them (after the minimum, of course ) and I actually get something I want in return.

Normally I have to give without anything in return (so to speak).

How exactly does the money from buying those tags help to conserve wildlife? Does it go to buy guns and bullets and night-vision binoculars for game-wardens or something?????

Just curious if it's kind of like how tax-dollars were used to buy automatic weapons and SWAT gear for the federal goon squad at the Bureau of Land Management...... that recently murdered and stole that ranchers cattle out in Nevada.......All in the name of "Wildlife Conservation". Turtles, to be exact.

Unbelievable.

TBH I don't know that it actually does, that's just the way it's presented--part of the funds actually go to the state Game & Fish agency as opposed to the Feds. Now what do they actually do with it? It's still the government you know, they find a way to spend it.
