I'm not old but I'm not young either. I've never seen things this bad before. Not just about government overreach but citizens who see conspiracy in everything.
Is it going to go down or not?

That whole thing was insane. Listing to the police scanner during the chase was better than any Hollywood movie I've ever seen.

boston last year, new orleans in 05, nationwide soon

I don't see martial law being implemented nationwide anytime soon. It's just not practical in a country of this size.

With the anti government sentiments rising on both ends of the political spectrum, it's unworkable. You can't practically control 300 million people if even 5-10% of them decide that they're not going to be controlled.

Particularly when the population of the US is around 300,000,000 people and the entire US military only has about 2,000,000 people... the majority are support personnel.

Yeah, can't see it on a national stage, but definitely can see it localized after natural disasters or something.

Saw it big time in S. Miami after hurricane Andrew.

it wont just be the military, all the federal agencies will be involved. I think a fraction of the military wouldn't go along with it but about 99 percent of the fed agencies would have no problem with it.
The feds would also recruit half the country to add to the control of the percent that refused to be controlled.

Like we'd need help.

Yeah its not practical if some 10 million with guns are pissed off and not going to take it.

Nah. It's simply not possible with a country as large as the US.
Too many people, too many guns, and you can't confine everyone here to a city. Far too hard to control a well armed population in a country like this.

until they use the air force to squash the compounds. The feds are like gingers they have no souls so they don't care about collateral damage when it comes to people.

The feds might not, but the military does care. There would be a huge uprising amongst the ranks in the military.

It wouldn't be easy and it would take time but the citizens have no answer to the air force or really even the coast guard.

If they bring out the air force against US citizens it's going to be more than 10 million pissed off and ready to fight. That's how you spark an all out civil war. The power brokers certainly don't want that.

The Air Force is not going to bomb the US. No way. Those people have families and friends that live here.

yea but if a fraction of the military stays they still have the ability to squash a armed resistance. also don't forget the drones they could use.
a fraction of the airpower is still plenty to handle a group of ten million that is restricted to guns only for the most part. It is even easier if they ignore collateral damage.
