A few of the reasons listed were included in the documentary I watched about it.
The article talked about Room 237, which is 217 in the novel. But doesn't go into much depth on it. The article doesn't talk about the carpet pattern being the same as the Apollo launchpad, and I don't think it mentioned that the boy was wearing an Apollo sweatshirt.
The gemini twins are definitely interesting. So is the typewriter scene.
There's a scene early in the movie where Jack is in the office of the guy who owns the hotel, the man is very 'presidential' with a JFK look and American flag on his desk.
I'm trying to finish a late workout right now. I love talking about this, though. Maybe I'll do a thread on it sometime.

It's not so much believe or disbelive.
Some of the arguments are clever but fall apart pretty quick, others are just silly from the start. I've yet to see an argument that stands up.
It's more the process that fascinates me. I have a very good friend who I like very much that totally believes this. He'll spend 30 mins on an argument about the Van Allen belts, and I'll explain why that doesn't hold up, and he'll just go on to the next argument. The desire to believe I can't figure out, but I want to

I actually would like that. I'm not trying to mess with you. Like I said one of my best friends totally believes this too.

What doesn't hold up about something like the Room 237 example?
Other than it's just one thing, which doesn't prove anything.
You said you've yet to see an argument that stands up, curious what about that that doesn't stand up.

You said you couldn't do this right now??
I can't really go that much longer but I could for a bit

If you believe that there is history as we know it (text books, written by the victors of wars and the financed by the most powerful members of society) and actual history - then you would probably agree that actual history would want to be recorded somehow, yet in a manner that would not be obvious to the masses.
