Why do you think they're thanking LE up there, when they basically instituted martial law last year, yet it was a single citizen that found the guy?

That's what TV told them to think.

Just curious..
Since Boston got brought up.
How many people are aware that a Saudi national who was on a terrorist watch list was arrested at the scene of the bombing, and then deported a few days later before he could be properly questioned by authorities.
His father is one of the wealthiest men in Saudi Arabia, and a known financial supporter of terrorist organizations.
This isn't 'here say', it's what happened, yet it was never really talked about.

I talked about it. Not very many people listened.

So how well armed is your bunker? Do you have a bug-out location from your bug-out location?

I know a Green Beret who has said that his platoon wouldn't partake in martial law.
Actually discussed this with him on my kayak trip last weekend.

like I said I believe more of the military would object to this type of thing than the fed gov. I still think they would have plenty enough people to crush a uprising with drones and the like if it ever came to it. FWIW i don't think it would come to that yet

Not really martial law but...
Enforced curfews, Armed National Guard/Local Police checkpoints on every street to check for "Neighborhood passes" which was a piece of colored paper to show you lived in a certain area.
After a tornado hit my home town a few years ago.

I've already seen it multiple times. 2005 and 2008 both saw marshall law in many places in South Louisiana

With the anti government sentiments rising on both ends of the political spectrum, it's unworkable. You can't practically control 300 million people if even 5-10% of them decide that they're not going to be controlled.
This.
Not gonna happen in the states. Perhaps the government slamming a resistance -- but never true martial law.
Mexico? Eh, 50 - 50 down here.

I saw national guard roll through the streets with 50 cal. machine guns on the back of their rigs to enforce an after dark curfew following a tornado in La. when I was young. Never want to see that again.

The local brownshirts/Obama-Youth have been out on patrol where I live lately doing their annual Planned-Parenthood/UN/Comintern fundraiser.
I bought some baked goods from them last year before I realized what they were about but this year they actually figured out where I live...I must be on a government watch list for that Ted Nugent concert I went to back in the 80's or something. I brushed them off and when I went to the grocery store and they were running a checkpoint there too. It's ridiculous.
I talked to a drinking buddy who is a former Airborne Green Beret Force Recon Ranger and was a Para Jumping Sniper with the SEALS in Cuba and he told me this is only the beginning. Might be time to bug out.

The first one wasn't funny. They haven't gotten any better.

There was a lot of bad information put out about that kid. He's suing Glen Beck for slander over it.
