Woosh.
I was so shocked by the first part that I didn't bother with the second.
Pretty high horse for someone who just looked like an idiot.

French cuisine is in no way, shape, or form influenced by anything from Louisiana.

The French import Redfish by the metric ton

French nationalists would actually punch him in the face for such a silly statement. The French don't even consider the Quebecois to be 'true Frenchmen.' I highly doubt Loisiana ranks higher considering the Quebecois are far more culturally French than Cajuns.

Creole cuisine has influenced the old world in many ways. I thought that was common knowledge.

Also those in Louisiana that have anything related to French ancestry... well, their ancestors migrated from Canada.
Hell, most people from France probably don't even know what a Louisiana is.

Everyone did. Which is how redfish got over-fished, and Blackened Catfish replaced Blackened Redfish on menus around the country.
True story...

They wouldn't, but that's not he point. Where do you think the term "coonass" comes from? But back to the point, the mixture of culture and cuisine in the new world did greatly influence the old.

You must be drinking heavily now...

Louisiana was named after Louis XIV, King of France from 1643 to 1715. When René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle claimed the territory drained by the Mississippi River for France, he named it La Louisiane, meaning "Land of Louis".

I heard there are a lot of folks on bath salts and eat people in Florida.
I also understand Florida has killer sink holes.
Sounds like a great state for sure.

It's certainly not a compliment. It's a derogatory term for Louisianans that is somewhat of a butchering of a French term.

That's my point, in a way. The French may have looked down on their Louisiana and Canadian counter-parts, but their cuisine was influenced by the new world.

You need to read about where cajuns migrated from. I know why Louisiana was named what is was named. I'm not the one who needs a history lesson.
