imo, Nashville is one the bestest cities in the whole world. a little shy on great restaurants but everything else is AONE!
It has become a congested tourist trap. I hate to be negative, but it is not anywhere on my "top" lists.

Que? Only in Louisiana would that be true. The rest of the south is Scot-Irish and English.
Uh no. You've bought into a myth if you think that, granted it's a myth that's often told. Louisiana preserved French Code/Law and language and was legally under French control for a longer period of time than many places but was hardly alone in having French influence and much of why Louisiana is considered French has to do with Acadians (Canadian French migrating to a French friendly place because they were so unwelcome in British controlled Canada - Cajun culture is Acadian which originates with those migrants from Canada). Hell, Tennessee was French and the East was a neutral zone (Indian country that kept French Tennessee separate from British North Carolina).
And before then, the first European to set foot in East, TN (Tennessee period) was non other Conquistador Hernando De Soto and France was there in the 1690s. Even after E. TN became a part of British N. Carolina the mountains kept us from being ruled. French influence ruled the day. Even our peculiar accent, lazy speech, and other linguistic markers are due mainly to French influences while our way of putting things together or syntax, a few phrases, loan words, and the specific pronunciation of certain words is Scots influenced.
The South is diverse when you look beyond the myths and the oversimplified history we've all been told.

Jesus, I hope so. It's hard to tell sometimes on here. Just like ole boy said that every state except for Cali and New York are just flyover states.

People from France would absolutely turn their noses up at cajun or creole food.
Actually, New Orleans cooking influenced French cooking greatly.
Blackened Redfish, for example, was a very popular dish in French contemporary cuisine.

By the way, I have nothing against Florida. It has some beautiful beaches. But OP is like a 7 in a room full of women making fun of 4s when there are 10s in the room as well.
I just read this, I gotcha, but IMO you gotta love Cali, Florida, Colorado, and Haiwii

You have got to be fricking kidding me. The greatest cuisine in the world was influenced by a city in a state in a country that didn't even exist until just recently in the grand scheme of things?

Fla definitely has the biggest cockaroaches. Pretty awesome?

I was speaking of cooking. And I still stand by that. Feel free to point out all the nationally known French-inspired cuisine from states other than Louisiana.
I'll wait right here...
