So what is the etiquette? How much weight can someone put on to make it ok to dump them?

Meh, as long as she doesn't follow the "Jessica Simpson eat anything & everything in sight, but don't move for nine months pregnancy diet," she'll be fine.

How old are you bro? If you love the girl then you should love whats on the inside. Don't be a dick.

You start dating someone because they are attractive. Why can't you end it if they become unattractive?
Posted on 3/3/14 at 8:32 am to Eric Nies Grind Time
You can if you're skinny..
If anybody says they would love their spouse just as much either way is either a liar or also fat. I'll get called "shallow", but if you really care for someone's well being, you won't let them eat their way into a diabetic, low energy, shitty self esteemed wasteland.
I'm talking about the people who double in size, not gain a few pounds. It's a problem.. Just like alcoholism or compulsive gambling and if you give a frick you'll intervene.
This is my first serious post in this thread also..

I get that, and agree. I've seen some couples that when you look back at their wedding photos, it's like looking at a completely different person.
For another scenario, what's the consensus on a man going bald? Some guys can pull off the bald look, others look terribly unattractive. Thankfully, the husband does not have this problem.

Generally the guys that will be bald are starting to go bald in their 20's so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

In addition, the male is traditionally supposed to bring in the strong majority of the household income, economically chaining the woman to his will. If she would like to sharply decrease her standard of living, throw away her financial security, and take on sole financial responsibility for her household I think she should be more than welcome to do that.

Because after children you have taken very good care of yourself.
I'm also talking about the young people eating more and moving less. Some weight is accepted with age.
with baldness, Good question.. But, if the person isn't trying to "hang on" to those ear fenders, buzzes it off and physically takes care for themselves it works out ok.
Thankfully I still have lots of hair too.
What would be the female equivalent of male pattern baldness?
Posted on 3/3/14 at 8:52 am to CheeseburgerEddie
Many of us are perfectly capable of providing my own financial security.

I did say traditionally speaking.

I wouldn't seriously date a woman unless she has a serious job/career.

Good question. I know some females get thinning hair, but it's not near as common.

Dude, he said she has put on "a little weight".
And of course most relationships begin with a physical attraction but love doesn't end there bro. I'm 6'1" 175 and my wife weighed in at 115 at first and stayed there for 10 years. About three years ago she had both knees operated on and lost mobility for a while and she balooned up to around 150 for her weight today. So it would be a ok for me to put her on the road? Shallow.
