Sheesh man. You would've thought that someone would have at least walked on for the team?

There hasn't been enough Memorial Magic in the last 62 years to help Vandy beat UK this year.

It is just when it seems like a sure thing for UK that the Dores get the win. Until it says 00:00 it is still a game.

Um, someone did, but they are not on scholarship. One played against Bama.

Mizzou should not be in anyone's top 5. I think Mizzou is a 7-9 spot type of team this year.

You can't judge a basketball team by just one game.

Missouri could go 16-2 in league play still. Just as any team could.

All rankings have to be based on what was done prior to conference play and Florida, Kentucky, and Missouri had looked better than anyone else.

Guess Alabama officially established themselves as #13 Saturday. Adios Grant.

1. Florida
2. Kentucky
3. Tennessee
4. Mizzou
5. Arkansas
6. LSU
7. Mississippi State (surprise)
8. Mississippi
9. Alabama
10. Vanderbilt
11. Texas A&M
12. Georgia
13. Auburn
14. South Carolina

This is how I think it all ends up.

General thoughts:

I picked UT 3rd before they beat LSU. They are always a great SEC team.

I still somewhat believe in Bama as a possible contender in the west. I still don't really buy UGA as a competitive team, though they have been a very pleasant surprise so far. LSU has been very disappointing, as has Mizzou... but I still think they will turn it around and finish SEC play nicely. I think Arkansas is a good team, though I expected them to beat Florida on their court. Miss State surprised me with a nice win because I thought they would fade into irrelevance once conference play began.

Does that make Vandy 14th?

Still seems way too high for a team that lost to UGA and barely beat a terrible Auburn team.

5. Arkansas

I will continue to disagree with them up here until proven they can win some games on the road.

6. LSU

Got stomped by Tennessee and barely beat a bad USC team

11. Texas A&M
12. Georgia

Considering these are power rankings, they should be rewarded for their 2-0 starts, especially considering they both beat two teams you have ranked ahead of them.

I'm shocked that Grant has been this bad. Wasn't there a lot of attrition in the off season or something?

I agree Tennessee is probably the better team but why the big gap? Especially considering A&M is 2-0 on conference play.

Seems to me, so far, the top of the pack stayed the same. The middle of the pack teams have dropped. The bottom of the pack teams have picked up their game. Makes for a complete cluster frick after the top 2 teams.
