IMO, he brought country mainstream. I saw one of his concerts for the "In Pieces" tour. I love him.

He's doesn't break my top 5 when it comes to top country and I don't say that out of disrespect. He's a great performer. And it's not his fault that country producers/labels have signed mostly pop country trash in the last 20 years or so.

Maybe so, but he has had some great songs, and he led me to listen to some of the greats.

You can't argue that he's not a great entertainer.

Miley is a great entertainer too.. not sure of relevance.

The Back Street Boys and Nsync entertained.

He is the equivalent to that in cowboy gear.

The whole Chris Gaines thing soured me on GB. Dude knew how to promote himself and sell albums though. Guess that's what it's all about in the end.

But as far as great country singers, he's not even Top 10.
