His throwing was the reason we beat LSU in the title game.

Hahaha, yea your defense that didn't allow them to cross midfield had nothing to do with it. I could have played QB for bama in that game and they would have won. That said, that was definitely AJ's best game and he played very well in it.

He was pretty terrible in that game and the game winning pass was a screen.

You ran for over 300 yards in that game.

I don't think you know what it means to put a team on your back. You seem to have it confused with not f'ing it up while everyone else balls out. For reference watch Johnny Manziel last year or Cam Newton in 2010 or VY in 2005.

ETA: In McCarron's defense the rest of his team is always so stacked he doesn't really have to. So I'm not saying he can't, but when you watch guys like Manziel it's pretty obvious who the better football player is.

Maybe Cam should saw his trophy in two and send half of it to Nick Fairley. Alabama has a lot of great contributers. AJ is the only one in the national discussion

Not only that, but lets look at AJ's interceptions. Against VTech White slipped as he was making his cut. Ole Miss Vogler slipped as well. Only the one against Colorado was a mistake by AJ.

So Jordan Jefferson beat Alabama in 2011 in T-town?

Defense and special teams held AJ and others to 6 points, but it was JJ that gets the credit.

I'd have to be on hard drugs to believe that shite.

Yeah, because Cam Newton's 2010 season is comparable to any of AJ's previous three.

From morons who know nothing about football. Attributing wins to QBs only is lowest common denominator level thinking.

It's only a useful tool when comparing similar players in similar situations.

That is the problem. No one arguing against AJ has read the criteria. I didn't jump on the bandwagon until I read the criteria tonight

Bama should just send out DVD's with AJ's passing highlights follwed by Blake Sims passing.

AJ would win in a landslide if you compared him to his back up vs Manziel/Winston with their back ups.

I did and AJ is going to get as much attention as he did last year.

He is a very good QB who has been part of teams that had some great defenses

That's it

Because football isn't a team game at all. Every QB makes plays because of the people blocking for them/catching passes. But to shite on the guy whose teammates are better than yours is just stupid.

What the hell….I'll respond.

NCAA Pass Efficiency Defense thru 11/9:

Rankings

14 Alabama
27 Auburn
57 LSU
75 A&M

So, AJ's Pass efficiency in the games you are touting is against
#57 LSU and #75 A&M.

Manziel's is against #14 Bama and #27 Auburn. Those two team are ranked as high as they are in spite of given up the following:

Manziel against Bama 28-39-2 464 yds 5TD's
yardage is 3 times what Bama is giving up to the rest of their opponents.

Manziel against Auburn 30-42-2 469 yds 4TD's
yardage is 2.44 times what Auburn is giving up to the rest of their opponents.

Something tells me McCarren's total stats against his ranked opponents will not begin to measure up to Manziel's

Hell, If not for playing Manziel, Bama might have the top pass efficiency defense in the country.

7/0 to 9/4 its pretty obvious which is better especially when its also 2-0 vs 0-2.

You see this shite here? Stop it. It makes no sense at all and completely derails what little argument you might have had.

Why? If Manziel had his heisman moment last year because of a particular win then we aren't going to hold losses against him?

With Florida State's remaining schedule there's no way McCarron passes Jameis.

Hopefully it will be reminiscent of the 1992 Natty when Gino Torretta (Heisman winner for Miami)looked like a deer in headlights and got owned by Bama.
