Agreed. And one of the reasons I started the thread... everyone is under the impression that the award can only go to a player who had the best single season.

Mosley should win in a landslide.

Winston is feasting on weak competition, Manziel is throwing too many picks.

Against ranked opponents

McCarron 7 TD's 0 INT's

Winston 4 TD's 3 INT's

Manziel 9 TD's 4 INT's

You do realize that Jameis Winston has NEVER lost a college football game right?

Actually AJ's win % is on 95 or so while Winston's is 100.

Again read the criteria. A one year wonder doesn't fit the criteria

Mett had a higher QB rating than AJ the other night and got beat by 3 touchdowns, why do you think that is?

Could it be that every other aspect of his team is better than almost everyone else's?

Manziel has to win games for his team; AJ has to hand the ball off, throw safe balls and not frick up. Anybody objective should be able to see and admit that.

Wow your AJ hate is strong. Winston has started 9 games against the ACC.

Still higher than Miami.

That makes no sense at all.

Not saying it is fair or not, but it's a fact that QBs are judged by wins more than any other position because they are seen as the most important player on the team. Always been that way. It's one of the reasons there have been so many Heismans given to QBs when there are many times there other guys at other positions that are more talented and dominant at their positions.

He puts his team in better position to win than Manziel. How often does AJ heave a ball and just pray it is caught? Johnny does it multiple times a game. It allowed Bama to build it's 35-14 lead and kept Auburn in the game.

Put Manziel on Alabama and McCarron on aTM and how good would both be?

Then get back to me.

If you seriously think McCarron can even sniff Winston's jock then your'e the biggest homer ever. Bama is without a doubt a better team, but there is no way in hell that McCarron is better than Winston. Or Manziel.

Why the frick would AJ want to sniff his jock? That's fricking disgusting and you're disgusting for bringing up....you're an abomination of a human being.

My opinion was Manziel should win until I actually went to the trouble to read the criteria, which the voters obviously don't do

There a very few QB's with as much overall control of their offense that AJ has. He is responsible for checking Bama in and out of plays based on his reads of the defense. In this era of college football many QBs don't have to read a defense pre snap. They line up, let the defense line up, and then look to the sideline to see what their coach wants them to do. AJ is college football's version of Peyton Manning. Of course, college Peyton Manning was denied a Heisman too, but heck he couldn

The one ESPN is using seems to be influenced by raw yardage. Because NCAA and NFL passer rating calculators are giving AJ's stats a higher ranking.

AJ NCAA 194.68 Mett NCAA 171.93
AJ NFL 137.2 Mett NFL 118.2

If Johnny plays at Bama like he does at A&M he wouldn't be on the field. Not because of lack of talent, but he make TERRIBLE decisions. Nick Saban would not put up with it. Just look at what he did to AJ, then the BACKUP QB, against Mississippi State in garbage time when he just threw the ball up for grabs.

Even if it was best player on best team McCarron would probably not be in the top 3.
