Your fanbase is harsh. Yall disown and start hating faster than anyone every. First Gus, then Horton, and now HA.
Tow the company tagline and show unwavering allegiance or else.
It sounds familiar.

quote:Honestly? I'd be a bit concerned about the guy whose head coaching experience was only at lower levels. There's a difference between running a program, and running a big-time program, if you will.
A. One who won a National Championship as an Offensive coordinator, Won in the Sun Belt and has a history of winning every where he has gone?
OR
B. One who has 3 Rose Bowl losses, mediocre Big 10 performances, with a history of losing to opponents he should always lose to and winning by a large margin against those teams he should win to.
Discuss?
Hiring an inexperienced head coach to fix a big program in disarray is risky- you might succeed, or you might get what Derek Dooley did in Tennessee. I'd take Beilema and his Wisky experience, of the two. At the very least, he should know how to get the actual program back in order. All we know about Malzahn is that he's creative offensively; Auburn needs more than a playbook.

He's part of your family now. Just deal with it. Put him at the kids' table at holiday meals, tell him to go play in traffic; we don't care. He's your problem, now.

That's like saying when Saban left LSU they wanted to keep Dooley.

Malzahn has a headstart with his players and can't be worse than Chizik. So its not like most situations. Like ESPN's CFB Daily said it like a promotion from with in and Gus has already shown he has no problem disciplining his players. Which was Auburn's biggest problem under Chizik. Auburn way underachieved last year and was not 3-9 because their players are at that level.

Is that like giving Dyer a scholarship after he was kicked out of Auburn?

No, that is like kicking Dyer off his own team for breaking his own rules.

Malzahn only has a head start with some of the players on offense. He has no such "head start" with anyone on defense, which has been AU's problem the past 5 years.
