So a gun gets zero punishment from Malzahn
for what again? do you know if any arky players have ever owned a gun. Bert should probably kick them off the team, right

Malzahn knew about the gun in March, but he decided to handle it internally.
It was only when the video became public that he dismissed Dyer. He says it was because marijuana was discovered and Dyer told him he didn't have any weed on him.

As Gus has shown the assistants are important too and Auburn has a lot better staff from top to bottom to help Gus than Bret does and most done it at the SEC level.
LOL.

What Western Kentucky does is no concern of mine.

You're the one asking if it's illegal to have a loaded unregistered gun in your car.

Its about the same really. Both coaches hired assisstants with great resumes and recruiting success. We'll see how they do at their new schools.
Our staff has coached guys like drew brees, ray lewis, ed reed, jj watt, and malcolm jenkins in college. Its not like they are slouches either.

In Arkansas it is illegal to:
A. have a loaded unregistered gun in your car
B. Be in possession of a controlled substance.
C. Be in possession of a controlled substance and a gun.

LOL

these two were not known until punishment was dealt

was it loaded? Do you know if dyer has a CC permit? where was the gun kept?

You Auburn fans really must have had a terrible coaching search, slow offseason, and disappointing preseason if you're still upset about the coach you hired.
Come on kids, wake up and realize football is around the corner. You'll always lose the message board arguments, it's obvious that Arkansas made the better hire. What you should do is wait until there are tangible results and then look back on it and compare. If your Auburn coach ends up doing better in the long run then you've won.
Is that it? You're just afraid if you don't win this argument in your own mind then you won't ever win it in the future?

Why else would your fans be on here upset about who they hired this long after the hire was made and the week the season begins?
I mean come on, if you're not mad about your coaching search then how can you explain starting a thread like this the first week of the season?

Bret had to settle for a 1 year DC out of the Big 10 to fix a defense that was even worse than Auburn last year
you sure about that? I see that in total defense Arkansas was ranked 73 and Auburn ranked 79. LINK
And last year Arkansas's new 1 yr DC had a top 15 defense. Not exactly 'settling'.
