Is that like giving Dyer a scholarship after he was kicked out of Auburn?
And he put him on the road when he screwed up.

Well Arkansas is in for a long season even with Bret.

Their Rose Bowl trips aren't that impressive when you consider what was up with Michigan State and Ohio State. In 2010 and 2011, Michigan State were cochamps. 2011 Wisconsin lost to a 6-6 Ohio State team. In 2012, Wisconsin came in 3rd place in their division but represented it since Penn State and Ohio State had a postseason ban.

Malzahn only has a head start with some of the players on offense. He has no such "head start" with anyone on defense, which has been AU's problem the past 5 years.
Thats still more than Bret has. Also Auburn hired a proven SEC veteran at DC to handle the Defense. Bret had to settle for a 1 year DC out of the Big 10 to fix a defense that was even worse than Auburn last year. As Gus has shown the assistants are important too and Auburn has a lot better staff from top to bottom to help Gus than Bret does and most done it at the SEC level.

He waited several months until the arrest became public knowledge and then he disciplined Dyer.

Then how do you explain Arkansas beating Auburn 24-7 last year in Jordan Hare?

At this point, B. More experience, better league. True test of a HC is to win when you are supposed to - neither have high expectations for this year.

He got stopped with a gun in his car in March and got dismissed from Arkansas State in July.

Chizik was the HC, they gave up on the staff before, they weren't running Gus's offense and trying to power run with his speed players, and they were in their first year trying to run a complex NFL defense. Things that puts any team at a great disadvantage and have all been fixed.

that was not reported until july. other than that it was a speeding ticket. Having gun is not illegal by the way.

That has absolutely nothing to do with whether you can win or not. Petrino wanted him even after he was kick out of school there and Strong took him. Strong was successful last year and Petrino won in the SEC.

Arkansas fans try to control information, you have to out in a freaking spam code to just post to Hogville.

If Bielimp does not win quick then the implosion will be epic.

Malzahn knew about the gun in March, but he decided to handle it internally.

It was only when the video became public that he dismissed Dyer. He says it was because marijuana was discovered and Dyer told him he didn't have any weed on him.

So a gun gets zero punishment from Malzahn, but a misdemeanor possession charge is grounds for immediate dismissal? Lol.

Bret Bielema has accomplished more so far. Gus Malzahn has a chance to become the better coach of the two, but right now anyone not giving it to Bielema is not being objective.
