Is AJ McCarron the most underrated QB in SEC history?

Everytime people talk about top SEC qbs he seems to not get the attention he deserves. His talent, leadership, and moxie especially in big games is severely lacking is missed at other SEC schools. The only other QBs I can think that match him in tSECs history are Tebow, Newton, Mannings, Leak, Greene, Wuerrfel and Manziel. Hopefully for UF Driskel can reach that pinnacle soon and Grier in the future.

Ask me again at the end of the season with the all world line that graduated. If he has a year like he did last year then he is very underrated.

No, we have some pretty good QBs in the SEC right now.

Hell nah. Alabama has the same record if you take any QB off any of the top 30 teams in the country. AJ ain't shite.

You're insane. 30 TDs and 3 picks last year.

First off that mouth breather Eli is nothing like Peyton... and Peyton would NEVER get something like this...
Can anyone look at this guy with his shirt off and think "leader and moxie".

I know Aggies are obsessed with dudes without shirts on, but typically on the football field he is wearing one.

Lots of butthurt stupid in this thread. Apparently it is really easy to lead the nation in passing efficiency and have a 30 TD to 3 INT ratio.

Not hard to do with 2 RBs avg 7 ypc, 3 1st rounders on the OLine, wide open WRs and 8 seconds to throw. Did you watch any of the games?

Exactly. AJ's good, but he aint THAT good

He's not anymore. He gets his kudos from most knowledgeable fans, and while the criticism about him playing on loaded teams is valid as far as it goes, he makes excellent decisions (most of the time *cough*goal-line interception at TAMU*cough*) and, despite what people say, a mediocre quarterback can be the bane of even the best teams. See LSU 2011, the best team in BCS history not to win the title. Hell, one of the best teams, period. Certainly better than half the ones who did win the title.

Two time and defending National Champion. That should about cover AJ as a QB.

Did you? In the Western Kentucky game alone he was sacked six times.
That was a great RUN blocking offensive line but their pass blocking was suspect at times last year.

I know that it's the nfl but Aaron Rodgers has 84TDs and 14ints the last two seasons with run games. Could it be that he's a good QB?
