yes and i'm damn proud of it. in fact, i shocked my doctor the other day when he took a blood sample and discovered my blood was purple and gold.
of course i know the purpose of this thread. some of the most embarassing and worst LSU fans i've ever met did not attend the university. also, some of the best LSU fans i've met also didn't attend. so i'm forced to say there is no correlation. BUT, myself and most LSU graduates i know of CARE ABOUT THE UNVIVERSITY itself, not just the football team. i don't give enough money i know but 100% of what i do goes to the university not the ultra rich athletic department. i do not argue with those that give to TAF though.

Neither. Didn't graduate from UGA but spent 30 plus years on campus as a prof.

Yes I did graduate from the University of Alabama and you will never catch me turning my nose up to anyone who is a sidewalk or as you referred to them t-shirt fan.

I have no problem with that perspective. I do not have the same devotion to the University of Alabama that a graduate would have. I understand that and accept that. I do think I am every bit as passionate about the Alabama football team.
On the other hand, I do understand the sentiment by Summer of George - it's unreasonable for the uneducated, unwashed masses to define the University of Alabama with some of the ridiculous behavior.

UNC-CH class of '77. And my "son at Bama" is now a graduate of UA class of '13.
