It may take a few games for them to he comfortable in a leadership role; however, we'll see a different line come the 14th.

@Andrew_Gribble: Saban says RB Kenyan Drake, CB Geno Smith are back in good standing. Need to prove they're better than who played in their place Saturday.

I only saw Fluker do that one time last year, and that was in the SECCG. Not saying he wasnt a leader, but its not like the players are mic'd up. You dont know exactly whats being said out there.
Were you saying that after we gave up 5 sacks against WKU last year?

With Drake out of the doghouse, anyone think he will retake his spot as #2 RB? Or will Fowler be there since he is back practicing with the RBs?

Good question. I think Drake will be #2 eventually but not sure if he will be by the A&M game

Just my opinion but part of the reason Drake only played mop-up last year was due to pass pro issues. If those are not fixed, he will not be on the field to protect AJ.
Fowler I think is getting more time at HB since the young guys were lacking in pass pro and Saban know he needs AJ upright. Fowler was great at pass pro last year before he got hurt doing it.

LSU game as well. Like I said I like seeing an OL with a nasty streak, I just don't see it yet but that could be just because of a lack of confidence but leadership and experience could help that come around. I'm not calling for several losses but it would b nice not to have this issue goin into what is the second most difficult team on the schedule.

Both of those games were very close games that came down to the wire.
The Va. Tech game was never in question. Not once.

Literally. The very first time we touched the ball we scored.

What we saw
He's back.
Kenny Bell was out there with the wide receivers again Wednesday afternoon after taking a "personal day" Tuesday. It appeared to be business as usual during the brief media viewing period.
-- Cornerback John Fulton did not have any kind of wrapping on his right wrist after doing interviews Tuesday with a small brace. He said he took a shot early in the Virginia Tech game, but wasn't anything major.
-- Jalston Fowler was working with the running backs after sharing time previously with the tight ends.
What's next
The scout team players and jerseys will be back Thursday as the Tide begin the full game-plan installation for Texas A&M. Coach Nick Saban said they don't like to add any more than two extra days to any game week.
It's a matter of burning the players out and keeping a regular routine despite the extra time available. The first three days of the week was dedicated to correcting mistakes from Saturday's 35-10 win over Virginia Tech.
