I can't respect your opinion then. Nothing personal. LSU interviewed the man at the same time as miles and he gave everyone in the rooms the heebie jebbies

It's hard to compare LSU & Arkansas. LSU will always have much better recruiting capabilities, and have more local talent. Arkansas desperately needed a coach like Petrino. We weren't coming off the success LSU had with Saban. Don't get me wrong, Petrino screwed up, but I would venture to say, MANY coaches do the same. He was just incredibly stupid about it.
Anyway, those "heebie jeebies" are what I got the first time I saw Miles give an interview in a press conference when he was hired. Just not a fan.

Everyone has a different view on what they want in a head coach.

Yep, and every team has different needs in a head coach. Trick is to find the right "fit".

give em a friggin break. exactly what has this douche proven to warrant having over Miles?

I would just take him over Les Miles, is that a problem?
I'd also take Bobby Petrino over Les Miles, but he isn't in the OP.

problem? No. Ridiculous? Yes

Certainly can't argue LSU's success, as the OP pointed out. Petrino was great for Arkansas, as well, imo. I don't know if either team would've had the same results had the coaches been swapped, but sometimes, considering the depth & talent LSU has had in the past several years, in almost every key position (minus QB), I believe they would do alright with no head coach.

I hate when people get their feelings hurt when they ask for an opinion.

He's going to crash and burn there just like Nutt did when he "exceeded" expectations.
Just an FYI, I'd take Miles, or anyone else for that matter, over Nutt again. REALLY not a fan.

True. I just think most of the good results have more to do with LSU's draw of superior athletes than the head coach, imo.
