Arkansas is a middle-tier school as far as football is concerned, so even a very good coach would take a while to get them to the top, and even then may not be getting the best recruits based on program history, prestige, etc

I mean, look at USC...the name alone will get them a handful of 5 stars each year, but their program is a joke at this point

It's pretty hot. It'll take a minute to cool off.

Realistically, I agree with this.

I agree with this, as well, but they haven't exactly sucked in the past.
Every team is going to have ups & downs, for whatever reason, no matter who the coach or players are. Just saying, in the recent past, LSU has had tremendous depth & talent, less the QBs. It's definitely much easier to to win with that caliber of players.
Damn, y'all stop being so sensitive. It was meant as a compliment.

Agreed. Louisiana ain't a bad neighbor to the greatest State in the Union, either.

Funny how every state that boarders Louisiana thinks of themselves as the greatest state in the union...yet nobody else seems to have any desire to live there.

So when LSU beat bama in '10 and '11 it was because LSU had SUPERIOR talent to the tide?

saban has had at least nine #1 ranked recruiting classes in the seven he has brought in at bama.

You know the answer to this.. Bama has to beat themselves occasionally to remember what it feels like. Motivation.

Too much of a small sample pool. Let's wait another three or four years and reassess the situation? Maybe one or BOTH might not be at their current school.

Might want to check on that nobody. I wouldn't mind living along the MS coast or NW MS, around Desoto County.
I could live in Houston as well, but would prefer not to live in a city that big. NOLA and Memphis are big enough.
