This is true. Saban really changed the perception and culture at LSU. Miles is a very good recruiter, but he does have some deficiencies as a HC. I like him and doesn't take himself seriously at times.

However, regardless of his 1 NC early on he is quickly growing into the Richt mold. Underachieving with highly talented teams and falling short of winning another NC. I say that with all due respect to the program.

Totally agree with this statement. I just think Saban got the ball rolling, so to speak, with getting LSU to the elite level. Obviously, Miles has been a good fit for LSU. If players play, and team wins, great. I just don't know about the results Miles would have at Arkansas.

2beez was the first and only one offered the job.

We can't all be like LSU and hire marginal barely above .500 coaches from Oklahoma State, some of us have the ability to hire coaches who have won conference titles and made BCS bowls at their previous jobs.

It is part of being a destination job, something LSU knows nothing about in any sport. Example you lose coaches to the NFL, we take them from the NFL. You lose basketball coaches to TCU, we fire coaches, none have left on their own in 30 years. You even lost a track coach to aTm, no one loses coaches to aTm.

6.

So you are saying LSU is less of a program than Auburn since Auburn has been able to win a MNC while Saban was at Alabama.

Meanwhile at LSU, Saban's players leave and so does the MNC being a viable option.

He wasn't what he is today. I certainly appreciate what he did here but he wasn't the coach at LSU that he is today

And the media rarely gave him the time of day nationally

People act like he never lost a game here when in fact he lost 16, some which were unreal- UAB, un-ranked arky, un-ranked ole miss, destroyed by va tech, destroyed by un-ranked auburn, Iowa

While miles lost his 16th game in his 6th season

Great points.

I agree and I didn't use the Richt comparison strongly, just meant it is inching that way. I agree that we are in the toughest league there is and Saban stands as the best. However, LSU has every bit of talent that Bama does.

I am alluding to his assistant hires. They have been inconsistent and some of his QB recruiting. No reason why LSU shouldn't be getting top notch QB's. That falls at the feet of Miles. Otherwise he is a great motivator, competitive as hell despite his goofy side. His players love him. I think with Cam he may have found a good combo to go along with Chavis.

Your reading comprehension is horrible.

The last football coach to leave on his own was 60 years ago, every other one has been fired while Broyles retired on his own.

Basketball would have a similar record had Sutton not left.

Fact is Arkansas is a destination school for coaches, LSU has been used as a stepping stone in several sports in the past decade.

What are you, 13? You said the talent at LSU is the only reason why Miles wins and I gave you multiple examples of why that isn't true in football. You respond with nothing but name calling. Go find a lily pad to tinkle on.

Miles = Brown.

Both have the pick of the litter for their home state, neither can find a QB worth a damn.

hired a marginally barely above .500 coach from Michigan State too.

appears both flourished at LSU. 2 BCS championships with 2 marginally above .500 coaches?

You win. Arky clearly superior. Good luck with 2beez
