I love the state of Texas and it's great to represent your homeland.

However, mark my words...you're going to love the state of Missouri, especially in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

If you travel south to the Ozarks region, you can canoe a multitude of rivers, hike, rock climb, boat on incredibly scenic lakes, and spend a beautiful romantic weekend at Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock Lake (Branson). Visit Silver Dollar City for a great amusement park experience.

If you travel east on I-70, you'll soon arrive in Columbia where you can see for yourself whether or not Columbia is a cool college town. Visit Columbia's downtown, Mizzou's campus, and Faurot Field.

A little further east you'll hit Hermann, the headquarters of Missouri's wine industry. By the way, Missouri has excellent award winning wine second only to California's Napa Valley.

In fact, the Missouri Norton grape saved France's entire wine industry in the late 1800s when their crop was devastated by the phylloxera louse. The city of Hermann shipped train car loads of the norton grape to France in order to save their industry. The native Missouri norton vine was resistant to the louse, and therefore most of France's wine crop is currently descended from the Missouri norton vine. They owe their wine success to Missouri.

Hermann is an old German wine town located on the bluffs of the Missouri River. It's just another great romantic destination for you and your wife to consider. I recommend visiting Hermann anytime, but Oktoberfest is the best.

A little further east you'll hit St. Louis where you can catch a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game or visit one of the nation's best award winning Zoos. Visit Augusta, another Missouri wine region on the outskirts of STL. There's a ton of stuff to do in St. Louis.

About an hour south of Columbia on Hwy. 54 is Lake of the Ozarks. It's a beautiful lake nestled in scenic Ozark hills. Lake of the Ozarks has a national reputation for partying. Just google "Lake of the Ozarks Party Cove Girls" and browse the google images to get an idea what to expect. Fun, fun, fun.

Kansas City is not far to the west where you can catch a KC Chiefs football game. They may not have a great team, but they have some of the loudest fans in pro football. They fill Arrowhead Stadium no matter how good or bad their team is. A lot of drunkards. Fun, fun, fun. You can also take your wife to the Power and Light district to party thru the night.

Essentially, the big cities (KC, Columbia, St. Louis) are located on I-70 to the west and east. Your outdoors entertainment is located in the entire southern half of Missouri from the Missouri River down to the Arkansas line. There's too many rivers, parks, and outdoor features in the southern half of Missouri to list in this email (Table Rock Lake, Elephant Rocks, The Current River, Lake of the Ozarks, etc., etc., etc.).

However, I'm partial to the southwestern part of Missouri (Springfield/Branson). Absolutely gorgeous and there are multitudes of things to do down here.

NOTE: There's nothing to do in the northern sliver of the state. Your sporting and outdoor entertainment will be located either east, west, or south of Warrensburg.

Hit me up if you need some suggestions for weekend activities. Warrensburg isn't the most exciting place on Earth, so I recommend that you and the wife get out of Warrensburg and travel thru the state as much as possible. Experience Missouri while you're here. You'll leave Missouri with a different point of view than the incorrect stereotypes frequently posted on the rant by non-educated retards. You may like it so much that you decide to stay long term.

It is all in the prep work

The most important step is having a clean cat to start with and then shaving or plucking the cat.

All else follows

Well, it sounds like you have no issue. I don't care if I find out meat came from a dog, cat, or human...if it tastes good then what's the problem?

For some reason food plays mind tricks on people. Textures, smells, appearance - that stuff gets into people's heads.

It shouldn't matter where the food came from, how it looks or smells, if it tastes good there shouldn't be an issue.

Do you live to eat, or do you eat to live?

I'm not a soothsayer, even though great grandma Pippy Nana was.

All I can tell you is to use the number 22.

Already love it up there , and we moved my wife there in the middle of winter, so it can only get better

Already have plans to go see the Ags play there in the fall. Maybe we can meet up with semo or some of the other Mizzou posters.

a month ago, one of my two best friends since i was like two years old told me she loved me and i had to turn her down. we havent spoke since and its been a pretty bad ordeal. recently i have met this girl who i really want to ask out but i dont want to ask her out after having to turn down my best friend so recently and making an all ready shitty situation any worse. any advice on what i should do?

So you haven't talked to your friend since the day you talked and you turned her down? You should call or text her. If you want to continue to be her friend, as you've said before, keep the lines of communication open. She's feeling really embarrassed and awkward right now. If you ask out another girl without talking to her, your friendship is likely over. It may be anyway, but if you want to salvage it you need to talk. Tell her how much her friendship means to you, and always will.

As far as the girl you want to ask out - is there a specific event you want to ask her to, or just ask her out in general? If it's an event where you need a date, that's easier for your friend to take. If you just want to ask her out and get to know her, I'd make it friendly until you know if you like her or not, then tell your friend. Don't put your life on hold, just be sensitive to how your friend feels.

This, of course, assumes you still want to remain close friends with her - like you have been your entire life. If not, it doesn't matter what you do. If so, you need to be careful - honest, but sensitive.

Killz - I don't mean to pre-empt your thread, I've just talked to WCA about this situation before. I'm sure you'll have your own words of wisdom for our young Aggie friend.

But for the record, though, Warrensburg feels like the big time after having lived in Altus, OK, for two years. That should tell you something

NOW it makes sense!

I got the "semo" part on my own--thought maybe you had a crush on President Harry Truman or something though, so swing and a miss there
