Your right he was using the autographs to generate more business for his store. This is no different than bars or restaurants having different specials or themes nights etc.. as business promotions. Regardless of what comes of this you can say Tom has done a great job of promoting his business. For all we know he sent the stuff to Clay Travis to promote his business.

You might want to go research the definition as it doesn't apply like you hope it would.

If you can find One thing in that store for sale which was signed by a current player, call the NCAA. If not STFU.

The article said Alabama asked him to stop selling and distributing signed merchandise by current student Athletes.

Well now they are pretty much admitting that he was profiting from past and current players correct?

That's not actually what the article says.

quote:

The storefront has signed Alabama items on display, and a source close to the situation indicated Alabama's December letter made specific reference to the sale or distribution of items autographed by current Alabama student-athletes.

The article does not make clear at all that he was selling the items. In fact, the wording makes it seem like he was warned not to sell the items in his display, rather than told to stop selling.

I, for one, would like some clarification on this from the writer of the story.

[quote]You did see the story on Ohio State and their tattoos didn't you ? I'm just kidding, I'm sure all these players just came in to hang out with this man. happens all the time. Oh yea and just because that jersey he was signing had a price tag on it he still didn't know it was going to be sold.[/quote

Absolutely just like I am sure you can't come to the conclusion that just because Cecil was tryi g to sell his son to MSU he didn't sell him to Auburn. I am sure he found his conscious when Auburn came a calling right.

I sure didn't see any of you from Bama complaining about all the threads concerning Auburn the last 8 months.

That was your first paragraph in response to my question. To which I answered, "Find one thread... Two wrongs don't make a right...".

Now we are back to the reading comprehension part of the story.

Completely and totally false, as shown by AJ Green's suspension last year for selling something that was his own property.

AJ was a current player not some small business owner. Reread what I posted. The NCAA should not be able to tell an individual not a coach or player what they can do with their merchandise. AJ is a player this is completely different.

Question what player is this guy in the picture ?
LINK

The reason i ask it shows the guy paying him for the autograph. I was not sure if it was an older player or who exactly he was.
