That makes it so much better

Remind me exactly what this “terrible decision” was. You must know some juicy details that weren’t provided in the reports on the matter.

I said maybe 4, if he ate something. These are general guidelines that you showed. They are almost ALWAYS wrong. Show this to a DUI lawyer and they’ll laugh in your face.

I’ve had a roommate who had a breathalyzer on his car that wouldn’t allow 0.05 or more, or else he couldn’t start the car. If we got really hammered late on a Friday night, it wasn’t uncommon for him not to be able to start the car until 2 or 3 PM on Saturday. Etienne blew a sub 0.08 at 4:35 am.

My point was that, below 0.08 is nothing. A college kid who is partying regularly is going to have at least some tolerance and would barely feel it at 0.08. He thought he was good, and he wasn’t. But if he were 21, he’d be a good citizen. Gimme a break. But play semantics all you want.

The alcoholics on this board would not even feel it until 0.10

You can still be arrested for DUI for blowing under .08. Regardless of your opinion about “barely being able to feel impairment”, the law is what it is. Go ahead and argue that to the judge and see how far it gets you. I’d pay to see that.

He did not consent to a field sobriety test and told the officer that he would push his car home if need be.

The arresting officer reports that Etienne was swaying from side to side when he talked, his eyes were glossed over, and his speech was slurred. Based on the observed reckless driving and Etienne’s admission that he had been drinking the officer went forward with the arrest.

Etienne could face a one-game suspension according to policy for DUI in the Georgia athletic handbook.

I’m not arguing that genius. I’m saying that someone called the guy trashy and that’s BS. He’s a kid who thought he was sobered up from the night before, and he did, but not to 0%. He left because he wasn’t feeling it anymore and didn’t know any better.

The only thing he did to break the law was drink underage. I don’t think there’s a single person on an LSU board that didn’t drink underage. That’s my point. I can’t believe I’m reading on an LSU board that it’s trashy for a 19 year old to drink. His driving was no more impaired than any of us who wouldn’t be guilty of a damn thing if we blew under a 0.08. Sorry my point goes way over your head.

Is somebody here really trying to defend drinking and driving from a minor? With Uber there is ZERO reason to ever drink and drive

George Pickens. Bama didn’t recruit because no chance to get in any school but lo and behold UGa gets him in.

Is someone trying to act like 0.06 in anything remotely close to 0.24 in level of inebriation?

Because they aren’t close to the same.

No, they aren't. However, any minor that drinks at all and gets behind the wheel of a car (when Uber is available), gets absolutely no sympathy.

He REFUSED to blow on the scene. He was going 100MPH, passing cars and not staying in his lane. EXTREMEMLY reckless. He could’ve killed someone. He blew under at the jail. Big whoop. How long did that take? He could’ve been polluted when he was arrested and several hours later blew just under .08. I’m not saying he’s “trashy”, but his decision making skills are suspect.

Zamir white don’t have to mention what is wrong with him. Bama and Uga recruit from the same batch of players. Don’t kid yourself that Uga recruits can read past “cat” anymore than anyone else. Pickens was going juco.

Exactly, and outside of Bama admitting guys kicked out of school like John Tyler, both schools get the same type players.

Georgia players are in compliance with school, SEC and NCAA requirements. Covid and transfers have added years to the normal time a player can play. And Stetson and UGA benefitted from both.
Those grapes you are munching on are really sour, you toothless hillbilly. I know Georgia totally owning your program hurts, but you better watch out. You sure would not want anyone looking too closely at the UT players.
