I just grew an inch. Exciting news, this guy is a heat seeking missile and needs to be on the field ASAP. Thanks for the update

let's just focus on practice and A-Day

I can't imagine they will, but I wish they'd re-sod the field for A-Day. It's been looking rough in the highlight videos the team has released

SIAP, from Jaeden's mom:

Thank you to everyone that was concerned about Jaeden. He twisted his ankle, it’s not bad. He is using crutches to keep weight off of it, he should be better soon. Not sure about A-DAY! We should know more by the end of the week! We appreciate the love and prayers! #RollTide

I haven’t “become” anything. I’m the same guy I was posting years ago.

The difference is that everyone didn’t have to jam their political opinion into every single thing back then. This is a sports board about Alabama football. There is a poli board on this site. There are an innumerable amount of political boards where people can argue or get on Facebook and be in their echo chamber.

By pure nature of this being a fandom in the state of Alabama(which trends very heavily Red) of a team in the city of Tuscaloosa(which trends Blue, especially amongst students and college graduates) then bringing up hot button issues and very loosely tying them into football is going to cause a bunch of shite between people who would otherwise like each other.

Case in point: I was a regular on this board for years and had a really great rapport with a ton of guys. People liked my sense of humor and having a different view on things. I haven’t really changed anything about me. But now it’s 2024 and everyone has to be pissed off about everything. And yeah if someone randomly brings up a protest from 4 years ago that Nick Saban took part in out of the blue as a cited example of how he’d gone soft or bought in to wokeness to keep players happy then I feel obligated to call that out as being bullshite.

I probably don’t have the same world view as 80% of this board. But we like the same football team and this is a place I like to learn and joke and bullshite about football without feeling like I’m at my redneck uncle’s Thanksgiving.
what I mean by insufferable is you saying keep politics out of the sports board, yet you can't even make a post saying that without it dripping with your sjw politics nonsense. If someone says something you didn't like about BLM or whatever, just pass it by, or it's gonna turn into 3 pages, and half of that is you.

Everybody in here is like, the best way to stop this is to keep it going. It is the only logical way.

Some of y'all truly have a remarkable ability to ignore the fact Nick Saban was not the same coach in 2023 that he was from 2007 to 2020.

I think fans say this because he didn't win any more championships after 2020; but Saban adapted several times in his tenure at Bama and wasn't even the same coach from 2007 to 2020...

Saban changed his philosophy in 2014 when he brought in Lane Kiffin and changed up the offense and then shortly thereafter went after more quick-twitch guys on defense to adapt to spread offenses. Then in 2018, he went full bore from "good defense wins championships" to "good offense wins championships" culminating in the 2020 title...

After that, as NIL and the portal came into full bloom, he adapted to the changing environment and managed his players perhaps a bit more gently and a bit less critically as that seemed to be what was needed to keep the team together...only difference between the previous times was that although Bama made the play-offs two of those three years, they didn't win a natty...

Even so in 2021, he was arguably a couple of WR injuries away from a potential natty and in '23 he was one defensive stop away from the title game and a good chance for another one; not to mention, he still beat UGA 2 of 3 times and kept them from three-peating. I'd imagine if he had won one or both of those, most folk wouldn't claim he wasn't the same coach as he was earlier...

Carson Beck????? Brutal.

And what a down year for QBs this appears to be if that list is the cream of the crop. That's an absolutely abysmal list compared to most years.

Have a feeling some names not anywhere near this list will show up this season. Kind of nice not to have a "usual suspects" type year.

I’ll put it this way… I’d be livid if my NFL team used a 1st round pick on any of those guys on that list.

15 minutes of recent practice first. Feel like we are repping the QBs and wrs a lot more than what we did before. Everybody looks pretty sharp. Milroe occasionally putting the ball behind the wr

Ewers is the closest to seeming like a credible nfl starter prospect

Yeah, I’d say Ewers and some dark horse are probably it, NFL wise. This is one of those years where a nobody goes 1st round.

Rodak Tweet

Rodak also said that Mincey left the practice field and was attended to by trainers, but no additional info.
