Dude was a horrible coach, a horrible recruiter, pissed off his own staff (If Caddy was celebrating that Hardy Boy lost his job, y'know he lost the god damn staff, nicest coach on the plains) and the admin multiple times, didn't even care for the job towards the end of his first year and continued his apathy until he was fired. Dude lost most of the fanbase, even though most of us were willing to give him a life-line after the 6-6 we had (even though we were 6-2 during the middle of the season). He talked all about "fighting hard" and "setting up a winning culture", while all he fricking did was sit around in his office all day, calling/visiting no recruits, making no gameplan, pissing off every coach he had near the facility, pissing off the AD and the GA-AL Highschool coaches and pissing off the players too. He was busy cheating on his fricking wife to do anything that was worth anything.
Freeze already one-upped him in multiple and I MEAN multiple facets of the job here, and he's had the job since late November. Freeze turned the '23 class from #56 in the nation to the top 20 in 2 months and is looking to have a top 10 class this year while flipping some Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana recruits on the way. He's brung a competent staff with him and a few transfer players who can run the rock, anchor the O-Line and D-Line etc.
Harsin deserves all the shite he got.

Can’t wait till the fall. Freeze is gonna deserve all the shite that’s coming his way too. He is the latest disastrous HC coaching hire at AU. Better get out that check book, AU. Another big buy out is heading your way

Doesn’t matter where AU tries to grab players from. AU is a dud of a football team. It’s where coaches go to get ginormous buy outs and players go to get their rears kicked

Was a shite show, yes I agree. The old President gave Gus his big buyout and Hired the Former AD. But a New President was hired last Summer. New AD Hired Last November. Hopefully things trend in the right direction.

Hugh Freeze will grab a QB out of the portal or make Ashford functional enough to win more games than AU should this year.
If they have the big money guys aligned behind him to bring in talent he will make it happen offensively.
I’d be more worried about their defense long term.

Harsin was a terrible hire. Did not recruit, etc. Players hated him, etc. Fortunately we rectified the situation quickly (Should have been done even sooner). Three - four wasted years of football (Gus's last year and two under Harsin).

that's what people fail to realize. Auburn can compete, money wise, with anybody except the oil money schools. Freeze proved he could win in the SEC at Ole Miss, that gets lesser talent than Auburn. We are void of talent at a lot of positions, but Freeze is recruiting his as off.
The thing that impressed me about A-Day....we ran the ball all day long, in a monsoon, and the ball didn't hit the turf once.

Those that read an article the day after an opposing teams spring practice, take comments out of text yet does not follow what's going on daily of said school is kinda ignorant and lazy. Shame all of the teams have those fans. Most are on here.

Again correct sir in that Auburn is working on the dept of the defense. If Freeze gets his portal QB and a receiver, Montgomery will put up 35 per game. The defense will determine the wins.
Freeze has yet to call one offensive play all spring, all Montgomery. Freeze is CEO all business constantly on the phone with recruits some of which are committed to other schools. The visitor recruiting list for A-day was off the charts and recruits are taking notice.
We learned a damn good lesson with Harsin. He learned a damn hard lesson with his well documented screw ups and has paid dearly and will continue to hear it when his team runs on the field as a visitor.
I dare any competent school on this site to say they would not have fired Harsin for what he did. No damn way!
Those that know football and Freeze ability and mind as a coach understand the potential that is now at Auburn. He has a great staff who know the recruiting field well and the games that are played by his rivals. His Staff can and will develop the players. He is not intimidated one bit.

Way to lump all the QBs together. Finley sucked passing. He’ll be gone soon. Geriner had 1 bad pass. Ashford had 1 pass batted down, but he also threw some dimes. All this during a downpour.
