It's in front of the whole school. My guess is announcing reclassification but that's a little interesting that they would do a big hoorah for that

Yeah kinda weird to do a school assembly to announce a reclass

I don't do cruiting, so someone tell me like a 5 year old what a "reclass" means.

He’s graduating HS early.

He’s supposed to be recruiting class of 2024. Instead he’ll reclassify to 2023.

I keep seeing stuff about Blocton signing today.

How is he signing? Thought you couldn’t until the 20th?

Supposedly Clemente said we were scheduled to get RW's last OV before the dead period in Feb.

It doesn’t happen that often with football recruits. More common in basketball

One of our WRs did it a few years ago, Malcolm Johnson Jr

I’m not a huge fan of it generally in football, especially in the SEC. Usually, a guy that should be playing their senior season in high school has no business suiting up on Saturday.

I mentioned a few times that RW would take OVs in January and sign in February if he reclassified.

I’m not sure everyone realized that he wouldn’t be done on ESD Still a long way to go

It’s more common with QBs… the kid from Opelika HS that ended up at USCe (dad was on Gus’s staff) comes to mind.

Here's the thing with Williams.... his dad is an Auburn guy who from all reports still loves Auburn, so I have a hard time believing that they would actively troll Auburn. Doesn't mean we will sign him, but if our staff thinks we have a chance, we probably have a chance.

And now he has reclassified like all the Auburn beat writers have been suggesting for a while, which means the Auburn "insiders" have been getting good info at least on this point. I don't know if the Bama guys knew as early as we did that a reclass was coming. Either way, I think the smoke is real.
