He isn’t an SEC caliber player and everyone knows it. He is talented but has major issues. Undersized and character issues. Hell, the game before he committed to us, he got kicked out of the game for fighting

I just cant understand why our coaches waste scholarships on players that are not SEC caliber and have character issues. It just doesnt make any sense.

Which is why I DIDN’T bring up the Chex piece.
Then you did to remind us we shouldn’t

I had already brought up the Chex thing to get the Bama guy banned. Then you lied about the Chex thing. Then I corrected it and said we don’t need to go into detail again.

And now I hate myself for feeling the need to argue any of this

Also have we heard from Stidham since the whole RW thing turned?

Stidham is probably busy with his multi-millionaire instagram wife and kids. He ain’t got no time for paupers like us.

NSD in February is just a day for the drama queens and players trying to get more money. The rest are all but done by today. The ones that do announce today are the back up plans.

To defend a couple of folks on this board, per PM on 247, crazy money if true...

Big payday for Ryan Williams

I didn’t believe it and I still don't know for certain, but now I have heard it from a source I consider quite reliable. Wide receiver Ryan Williams apparently will get $2 million-plus for signing with Alabama. I doubt Auburn was willing to go that high. Will he be worth it? I don’t believe any high school player is worth that kind of money. It’s perfectly legal, but it’s another sign of just how out of control the whole NIL thing is.

Seems logical. Bama football was bleeding out and needed something to change the perception of the program. RW gets a big bag and gets to be the man at Bama. Auburn wasn't near as desperate, even though it would've been nice to have RW.

What i've said for a while. Nothing is a done deal anymore in the NIL era until they sign on paper (and even then you have the transfer portal now). I know we were offering him a ton of money, but there was always a possibility someone could come in and offer enough of a bump to change his mind. Bama, after the upheaval of their class and transfers when Saban retired, needed a win and ponied up for it.

THE SEC IS A LOS CONFERENCE

And Auburn is kicking arse getting there

Out of 8 2025 commits so far:

5 DL are committed.
1 OL is committed with ON3 loving our chances with Dice and Debose
2 TEs committed.
Yes all 8 will be getting their fricking hands dirty getting mean

Freeze has signed 8 OL and 10 DL in the last couple classes.

Based on the last couple classes it appears Freeze has us on the up and up in comparison to someone like Gus which liked going after 10 nickelbacks and 1 OL every class. (I added this in here because frick lanier.)

Doesn’t really defend anyone when people in this thread were asking”how can it be a done deal? What if Bama throws a bag at the end?”
