I want Lacey more, but that’s just because I’ve seen him play a few times in person.

I also like his connections with other ‘25 and ‘26 kids

Montgomery is talented but he’s outside the footprint

I like Lacey a lot and would happily take him. But man I think Montgomery is the real deal. Dude spins it so well.

In the portal era I think you have to take 2 QBs every other class. That way you always have a QB in rotation that you trained and recruited.

That makes a lot of sense, and I don't know why so many coaches don't do this already. I wouldn't risk having less than 2 serviceable QBs just like I would not risk adding kickers with PWO offers. There are some things coaches must do to make sure they keep their bills paid.

We have 2 pwo long snappers in this class. So appears Freeze does pay attention to the small things as well

Chad Simmons had an interesting note on 4* LB Bradley Shaw

He listed the contenders as Arkansas, Clemson, and Auburn. He mentioned what’s been known for some time: Shaw isn’t talking much about recruiting right now. He’s just playing ball. But he mentioned that Arkansas and Clemson’s struggles have maybe slowed down things even more for Shaw. Simmons said Auburn is the school to watch there

I don’t know what happens with Waller but I’m still interested in how Shaw’s recruitment pans out

I'm not sure Shaw can commit to AU. I should say not sure we would take his commitment.

What’s the knock on him? Has offers from all the big schools and has camped at several others as well. Consensus 4• top 200 recruit from a quick glance at all the recruiting sites.

We like DJ Barber more. He's probably headed to Arkansas if TWill keeps the DC job

I am guessing the staff offered him a spot and he slow played them. So the staff went fishing for other trophies in the pond.

Who are we looking at Juco wise for the 24 class? I know Laquan Robinson is probably going to commit. Were we in it for Markell Bell? I know he committed to the cow bells and I thought we were a factor before his commitment.

He probably could have committed at one point but we are all in trying to flip Waller. If Waller flips then Phillips could possibly move inside and the staff has Phillips and Barber higher at ILB then Shaw.

It's not like we have top prospects beating down the door to fill out this class, take who we can get and figure out who is better when they get on campus. If they suck they will transfer out anyway so it's like they eat up a scholarship the next four years. Especially with in state players

We are still recruiting folks. Will continue to recruit folks. Have to keep in mind last year in about 15 days we flipped Lew, Faulk, and Lee all prior to early signing day.
