I thought they were bragging in the offseason how they held on to Lane was their war chest they had for NIL.

But they might be right. I hope they are. That we have more to offer

I dont think Cain is a sleeper. He's skyrocketing off the charts, and will probably play early if he can get his technique. He's going to attract a lot of attention this fall. He just didnt play football.

That’s kind of the definition of a sleeper. A guy our coaches get that just comes out of nowhere

The Ole Miss recruiting thread on their board is full of copium….but of course the only way Auburn could beat OM out for a recruit is to pay him a lot of money

quote:

What’s going on with in state recruiting given the size of our NIL, we only have 2 of the top 10 committed?? #1 Franklin skipping Juice Fest seems like he’s not coming to Ole Miss. Any shot at flipping #2 Waller? #4 Harrel #7 Burnside #8 Hibbler are all committed to State along with the #6 OL Jimothy Lewis. #6 Hill and #9 Daniels are both looking to go out of state. Looks like we might get #10 Noreel White but he still hasn’t committed for whatever reason. #11 through #22 are all committed to other schools. And we took commitments from #23 #24 #25 #32 #34 And currently Stanford has as many top 20 commitments in Mississippi as Ole Miss does. What the frick is going on?

It’s difficult for them to accept that their coach is not an elite recruiter, and that the only reason he wasn’t winning more recruits was due to lack of NIL support from the fan base was bullshite. Ole Miss NIL co-op is sited as a very active and solid co-op.

I mean they can’t even beat out State for some instate recruits and they think they are on an even playing field or higher than Auburn?

As we move forward they will become painfully aware that their boosters did us a huge favor retaining Kiffin. In their own thread the way describe Kiffin’s HS recruiting it isn’t quite on the level as Harsin but it looks awfully familiar.

That was my main thing against Kiffin, even Haskins out recruited him.

Some of them are arguing that OM is a top 5 coaching destination

It’s pure gold. They do have a few realists but most of them are living in complete delusion.

They also claim that coaches are telling other coaches what NIL they are offering recruits and that is how they know we are throwing the bank at players

I would agree that Ole Miss is a top 5 coaching destination….. in the state of Mississippi.

They aren’t even a top 5 destination for coaches in the west side of the conference.

I guess -- I equate sleeper as a diamond in the rough, lowly ranked guy that a coach saw and thinks could be a player. Like Daniel Thomas a 2*.

I think Bryce Cain will be very highly ranked and recruited come signing day.

I think you and Corch are correct, its just Cain was a madrugador (early riser). He was lowly ranked, we show interest, and his stock rises throughout the process, versus after he is signed and on campus.

I do like Pinks thoughts in their last show. If we can indeed land Franklin, Carter, and Patterson....look to see who shows up on campus for games this fall for the 24 class.

The kids that are committed elsewhere and are signing in December....but show up at Auburn, prime flip candidates and Auburn with so many in the bag, can go back and shoot for the stars on a few and see what happens. Said it might be why Demitri is not a take yet or a few of the others left on the board.

Keep hearing them talk about Waller. Maybe a couple of the OL we missed on. Coleman? Ya never know.

Bo definitely wasn’t a sleeper, he was a highly sought out recruit in multiple sports in HS.
