Again, your words, and that does not exist with a two deep safety or anyone in 3 deep, safety or corners

Linebackers play run first, pass second

DB's play it just the opposite

If you're going to use "my words", use them all...

quote:

if your safety is fast enough he can play up some to disguise the coverage, while giving a run help look before dropping back to his zone.

Again... Who said they'd be playing the run first?

I've even provided you my nearly full quote yet you continue to not use it. Not sure what else to tell you.

I’m literally done talking to you about all of this.

You don’t understand the meaning behind any coverages. It was a simple question.

Again, you’re attacking cubs for something that is done on every play. But if you knew the difference between a free safety, strong safety, rover, nickel, or jack, you’d understand that.

Linebackers play run first, pass second

No they don’t. You read your keys and react. You don’t fricking play anything “first” or your burnt arse toast.

lol

a read step is the first step from a linebacker, or a DB, as they show their first responsibility on the read step, while they read....and then react to the second and third cues

two deep safeties and 3 deep frees and corners do not make that first read step as a "run first" step

linebackers....just the opposite

You don’t take a step at the college level.

You’ve gotta just be trolling at this point.

I’ll just dissect every one of your posts if you’re going to drag this on…

quote:

if a team is playing to take away the deep ball, they would be in cover 3

Cover 3, known to normal fans as prevent. Yet, you’re saying use it to take away the deep ball. Yet Cincy ran with a 3-3 alignment up front all day…so that leaves 2 corners to cover 2-4 WRs in our sets with 3 safeties…which never happened by the way…but let’s just roll with what you said…Makes as much sense as a football bat.

quote:

but you don't want to talk about that now

I’ll drop knowledge

quote:

that I understand that there are zone/man variations and that cover 2 for instance can be zone underneath and over the top, or bump and run man underneath with zone safeties over the top

Explain to me zone safeties…This is interesting to me. As someone who played football from the age of 8 until I was 22, zone safety coverage is absolutely something I want to be educated on. I’m always interested in gaining knowledge. Zone safeties huh…interesting.

quote:

most teams call straight man (5-6 yards off, a yard inside the WR) cover 1, which WOULD actually be a time when the safeties would be up in straight man on slots and tight ends, or offset backs

Now this is real damn interesting here…So you’re saying running under cover 1 WITH SAFETIES(plural) in man? So are we running under or over coverage in your scenario? So…let’s just ignore the 1 in over Cover 1 or is this some more new terminology?

In your scenario, are we running a 4-4, 4-3, or 3-4?

I didn't say "Cincy played 3 zone/man combo", but yes, it exists, you idiot.

Yes, you and most fans call it prevent.

quote:

I said cover 3 doesn't have to the simplistic bullshite you make it out to be.

It’s the simplest coverage. Hey, let’s play zone across the board and corners 10-15 off the LOS.

quote:

I guess you really believe only about 3 coverages exist. But again, I didn't say "cincy played cover 3", liar. Pathological liar.

Well why don’t you list some more coverages for us…Google *cough* Google…HEY BRACKET COVERAGE!

Explain zone safeties? And you claim you played until age 22?

You're a pathological liar.

2 deep zone safeties cover half the field deep while underneath corners and linebackers play underneath routes. Got it?

Is that real damn interesting to you because you're trying to save face from looking a fricking douchebag on a message board?

So we certainly know you didn't play defensive back up until the age of 22. Was it flag football?

next, so you're asking if straight man with corners and safeties both in man can be run with a 4-4 front? You're asking that? Because that would be an 8 man front. So you're already once again showing your ignorance.

and I thought you were done talking to me

That’s fricking knowledge I tell ya…So I’m assuming in your football world there has to be man safeties, if they’re zone safeties? You seem to name interesting things…

quote:

Is that real damn interesting to you because you're trying to save face from looking a fricking douchebag on a message board?

I mean…let’s just keep talking here…I’m starting to think calling you Canaan Sandy was an insult to him…

No..I asked you what defense you were going to be in with a flanker, TE, RB out wide if you said you were in Cover 1, but with multiple safeties (still trying to figure that out) and then also playing man coverage? I was curious what your base defense was on that….

Look bro…I’m just straight up learning all kinds of new shite here.

I mean…We’ve got Zone safeties, Bracket coverage in Cover 3…I’m just here for all of it…You’re learning me that Over Cover 3 actually isn’t a type of prevent defense…I mean…I’m gaining so much.

here's more from Google you will really hate, because it's Nick Saban's general philosophy from several authors including bracket/matchup zone/combos
