In light of what PFF put out, I will change my Sean White Arkansas game to solid outing not great.
They didn't account for Arkansas being one of the worst defenses and overlooked some exceptional catches that offset the drops. That said, the spikes and throwaway should count for something
Clint Moseley had a hell of a game against Ole Miss in 2011. 80% completion percentage, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. Barrett Trotter had a hell of a game against Utah State the same year. 73.9% completion percentage, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions.
Sean White could turn out to be a very good quarterback. Given what we have seen, the offense he is in and the supporting cast right now, I doubt it. He's definitely done nothing to be getting all of this off-season "hype." Not even close. 1 touchdown in 7 starts. Laughable.

SO MUCH HYPE!!
I mean everybody on here is saying he should've won the Heisman amirite???

I don't think yall are listening, or either just arguing semantics.

Let's actually have a discussion about something. For this hypothetical, Sean White has potential AND Gus can design an offense that acceptably fits his skills (we've argued these points ad nauseum)
Is anyone else worried about how we are going to protect the QB in a pocket passing scheme? Our schedule has most of the top rated/dominant DEs/Pass rush OLB in the country. That is on top of replacing two OTs and an OC (since he moved to OT).
On our schedule we have 6 games against these top rated pass rushers (CBS draft rankings by position).
'17
Tim Williams - '17 #1 OLB
Jonathan Allen '17 #1 DE
Lewis Neal '17 #6 OLB
Deatrich WiseJr '17 #5DE
Daeshon Hall '17 #7 DE
'18
Myles Garrett - '18 #1 DE,
Marquis Haynes '18 #1 OLB,
Lorenzo Carter '18 #3 OLB
Rashaan Evans '18 #2 OLB
Zach Cunningham '18 #3ILB (lead team 4.5 sacks)
TL;DR Anyone else worried about our inexperienced/avg athleticism OTs will stack up against elite pass rush talents?
One of my hopes with JF3 is that his speed would force DEs to play contain or a QB spy which opens the field. Sean White may have no time and subpar WRs

Small quarterback, limited athletic ability, average arm, brand new left/right tackles, mediocre receivers (unless we plan on relying on freshmen) and a play-caller that's as stubborn as it gets.

Well yeah that's a pretty obvious concern. Don't know what you want to discuss.

Anything other than "Is Sean White our SalvaSean?"
-To what degree would this affect our season
-Anticipated Gus schemes to mitigate this problem
-How will QB production be affected?
-Is a pocket QB a good choice in this context?

I seriously have not seen anyone "hyping" Sean White. Some ITT need to realize what "hyping" really means. Believing that someone is worthy of being the starter does not equal hype.
Personally, i just think White did pretty well considering he was a RSFr and his best football is probably ahead of him. Most players generally improve as they get older and more experienced. Certainly a chance that doesn't happen, but more often than not guys do improve as they go.

If we are just going to put someone back there to run the ball, might as well just play 2 running backs.

Honestly I think our offense is better off with KJ at QB

You can blame Chex. He's doing so much hyping it feels like all pro White guys are hyping

All I've pointed out is the emphasis that Gus is making on true Dual threat guys. Gatewood, Woody, Mond, and other recent recruits are accomplished passers as well
fwiw per some analyst say Woody has a loooong way to go with his passing. Should fit right in (if he qualifies)

Hopefully he's given up on those play actions that take forever

Greatly

If this question is do we play Franklin or White, then yeah I'd still go White

Not sure how my posting affects you being an even bigger douche as conductor of the Sean White Hype Train.
Just so we are clear on why it was easy for people to think SW was being hyped. This doesn't even include the ultra douche comments where Chex sarcastically goes all negabarner.
Chex saying SW will lead us to SEC CG
Chex posting pictures and contributing nothing to the discussion
Chex saying SW is a gamer
CHex saying SW looked great
Saying SW is going to be great will incorrectly posting stats
Chex showing his knowledge of the Auburn roster (OT but still)
Chex calling Gus a fricking retard
Chex posting extremely incorrect claims about passing yards
ETA: You are approaching JrJr level homer douche.

And you are approaching Bama's level in hating all things Auburn. I could go back and post links to all of your bashing of Auburn players and show you how fricked up your viewpoints are, but im not about to stalk your posts.
Go cheer for another team. You incessant negative shite talking gets old as frick.
And when Sean starts leading us to wins against teams you secretly pull for, dont jump on the the Sean Train. Your arse aint welcome
