I hope we redshirt Woody and don't run him out there in games for a few Wildcat snaps

There is no way you can compare 2003 Jason Campbell to 2015 JJ. Jason made pretty good decisions and was accurate in 2003. Your perception that he was as bad as JJ before 2004 is based on the overall improvement of the entire team from
fun fact: jason campbell threw the same number of TDs in 2003 as JJ did in 2015

Jeremy Johnson 2015

95/157 1053 yds 60.5% 10 TD 7 INT

Jason Campbell 2003

181/293 2267 yds 61.8% 10 TD 8 INT

Pretty comparable to me
Both played pretty poor

Cam looked terrible in that spring game tbh

No he wasn't. He only threw about 5 times and all were screens other than a long TD to Adams. He did not do a lot but he was far from terrible

And a top 25 defense
And Caddy and Ronnie in the backfield
And a bunch of studs at WR

But he did have Nalsminger for offensive coordinator

I agree. JJ only inspired the defense to a 50+ ranking while Campbell got his D to #8 nationally. You can also directly link the success of 3 future NFL 1000 yard rushers to Jason Campbell's unparalleled leadership.

If only JJ could yell "Strong Side!" louder, he too could be that type of leader.

his leadership in auburn's offense scoring zero TDs the first two games of the year sure was a sight to see

Higher Win% for JJ depending who you give the W to in the Memphis game since SW was "injured"

I'm not even sure what you are trying to say anymore. People are just pointing out that 2003 Campbell sucked a butt just as hard as JJ did last year.

If you are saying you'd take the potential/mental makeup of Campbell after '03 over JJ, that is incredibly biased given what we know. No one after '03 would have put their rep on the line predicting Campbell would turn out the way he did

You seem to be comparing 2004 Campbell to 2015 JJ when everybody else is comparing him to 2003 Campbell.

JJ has gone from potentially heisman to potato in one year. Campbell went from "frick this kid put in Cobb" to playing 10 seasons in the NFL but objectively hes the same as JJ.

Your argument has gone from substance to potato.

F that. Woody does not need a year of being screwed up by Lashlee's "coaching."

If Gustave insist on this square peg square hole style of offense instead of adapting to what his players can do, then I say we start Woody. How much worse can he be than tiny JF3&out?

Now back to thinking Brannigan is a dipshit.

Nope, I'm saying that given either option I'd rather have pre snap '03 Campbell than pre snap '16 JJ.

2016 JJ over whatever Campbell was in 2003.
