I have had several of the Pappys and for drinking I like the 12 the best. My son graduates college Saturday and we will be sharing a bottle of 15 yo Pappys.

My current whiskey choice has been Angels Envy Rye or Whistlepig.

And seriously what Auburn man drinks anything but Miller Lite for a session beer?

It's critical that we win the upcoming Iron Bowl because if we don't then we will have to hear "Fear the Thumb" from them.

Lanier, so how are things going with your tackle business? Still seeing steady growth?

Yes it is. I have added some new accounts this year including the local Dicks Sporting Goods here in the Lanier area. We are in 5 of them with the possibility of expanding to more. We also added a big distributor this March.

We are still growing. Possibly too much at times but we are handling it. A few more years and it will be time to let it go.

... let it go? Not just license it out/hire someone to run the operation for you ?

Im gonna sell it. Its a good cash flow business and should not be that difficult to sale in a few years unless something bad happens. We have a great product line, a very good distribution and have taken care of our customers.

In about 5 years, I would rather be done with it and let someone else take is where I could'nt. There is really not enough margin in this type of retail business to divide that pie up into too many pieces.

Plus I dont want to work much longer

I think its time to warm this thread back up. We need something positive.

Whats the plans for the weekend? Im all caught up on orders. Been fishing everyday this week. Kids are gone so I think my wife and I will sit in front of the TV and stare at it while we pack some jigheads and dropshot weights. Time to catch up on stock.

Just got back from seeing Zac Brown Band in Cumming Ga. Not bad. Was my first country concert ever. I actually like them. Mostly the beach tunes but overall, not a bad concert.

Next Thursday night, heading to downtown hotlanta to see Brit Floyd. Seen them a couple of times. Very good cover band..

Going to see Alien: Covenant tonight

Will also try to listen to as many Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog albums as possible while throwing back some brews.

Maybe some sex with the wife? Who knows.

My son is going tomorrow to see that. Sounds like it should be good.

I liked a few of his songs but I was not a huge fan of him. Hate he ended it though.

Are we sharing this now? I need a ruling from Rig before we change the direction of this thread.

Yeah think this might depend on when you grew up. Soundgarden for me as a kid and Audioslave in high school. Fantastic. Just brings back a whole lot of memories.

I thought anything was fair game in an IM thread I'll go ahead and say it now: No pics.

I'm good on pictures anyway. Haha.

The board is dead as shite this week. I think everyone is scared of the softball tournament this weekend.

Going to Neely Henry tomorrow. There's been (2) 100+ boat tournaments on this lake in the last two weeks. Should be tough. Need to figure out the deep spot stuff. Need Lanier to come and guide me around the Coosa and teach me how to read electronics.
