I've got $3K worth of Helix 9s on my boat. Most expensive clocks I own! Only really used them fishing the TN river so far. You have to have them there.

Yep. I have Lowrance but do understand the Bird units. The 2D sonar is the most important thing and it all works the same. I just prefer the Lawrence over the Birds... Mostly personal preference...
We fish deep all year so electronics are a must. I do about 50 trips a year for Electronics. Fishing deep is my gig..

They are decent units. I am not up on all the controls but I have used them
I have two Gen 3 touch 123's on my boat now. I also have the new 3D structure scan. I am about to put my boat up for sale in about two months. I will order a new sled around July4th when the 18's hit the market.
Im going to put two Cabon 12's on it with sonic hub so I can do bluetooth. Going to be switching to Skeeter for the first time ever. My dealer that is one mile from my house switched a few years back. Its going to be tough to switch boat brands. I have been in a Triton for over 21 years. I have purchased 8 of them and won 3 more in tournaments that I sold.
No Triton dealers in my area so its time to switch. I bought one of the very first Tritons ever made when they come out. I had serial #5. Bought it back in 1996 and I have never owned anything else since. To be honest, there is probably not a person on this earth who has fished more days out of a Triton bass boat than I have. Bought one of the very first ones, fished out of it 200-250 days a year since.
But I only need about 5 more years out of a bass boat and I wont need it any more..

I'd love to have side imaging, but if i turtled and killed the unit I would probably cry.
Gonna trade in the bass rig for a center console upon retirement?

Yes, I am moving south in about 5 years. My plan is to sell my tackle business, my house and run my kids off. The wife and I are moving to Holmes beach area.
I will sell my bass rig and get something to do a few inshore guide trips a week with. Reds and what ever. Guide two days, drink the others. I am planning on quitting on life for the most part.
If you want to see me, talk to me or fish with me, you can pretty much find me right here. Don't try to call, I wont have a phone

When I was a freshman at Auburn I drove a 66 Chevy truck with loud exhaust. I would drive by JHS at night and rev the engine so that the empty building would amplify the sound and it was like a bomb going off.
I would park it in an end space in the parking lot by the stadium during the day so that it wouldn't get dinged. One night a campus police stopped and talked to me about the truck and said he would keep a special eye on it so that it would stay safe.
Another time the emergency cable froze up in the parking lot behind Foy and beside the shop buildings. I kept running it in reverse over and over again to free up the cable. After about 10 passes I noticed an Indian student staring at me from one of the windows in the adjacent building.

We have a radiologist that might join the club. Told him that he'd be in charge of the electronics classes.

I lived in the old CDV before it was torn down. Very similar to a Soviet apartment complex.

I hear you. Make him find em.
I did a trip with a guy two weeks ago that had 8k in electronics on his Ranger and he had the fish ID still turned on.
