You know who else has one of those? Hugh Freeze......and a Sugar Bowl win.

Do you reckon they were this upset when Gus got fired? A couple good seasons….lot of 2+ intraconference loss seasons is the theme for both coaches. Literally the same guy except Gus didn’t have a blackened soul.

I am seriously coming to realize that our fan base is totally out of touch with reality and AU football is in its Death throes due to ignorance. If our fans are representative of the people in charge of AU the whole thing is fricked.

Your Hugh Freeze butt buddy takes that honor. I’m happy for him.

You think this pardons Hugh right? How dumb are you? He was the HC and his program lost institutional control. That’s on him. Freeze taking the plausible deniability route doesn’t make him a saint in this.
I'm dumb, yet you can't read or comprehend what you read. How about starting with what the NCAA said after their colonoscopy of Ole Miss was completed.
quote:

While discussing the decision with The Clarion Ledger, Greg Christopher, Xavier’s athletic director and the chief hearing officer for the Ole Miss case, said the committee felt Freeze simply didn’t know his assistants were committing the violations:

“A lot of people will throw head coach responsibility into one big bucket. But a lot of times people don’t step out and realize there are two prongs to the head coach responsibility,” Christopher said. “There’s failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance and there’s failure to monitor.”
These are the words of people who do this shite for a living, not some message board Nancy, like you.

Starting to see this too. A true reflection of society in general. Superficial flash outweighs proven talent. Empirical data comes 2nd to emotion and "feels".

I don’t give a frick what fancy suit said. Apparently he did great at denying.

Loss of Institutional Control happened under his watch. He knew about the cheating. They went from recruiting classes ranked 48th to 8th over night.

Exactly! Gus > Freeze, empirically. We paid Gus to leave. Why in the frick would we then hire his wanna be?

My thoughts exactly. We may as well wait until Sunday and hire Gus back if Freeze is the best we can do.

Go re-read the title of this thread. You don't have a problem with Bruce's past, but you do with Freeze's? Bruce had a freaking FBI investigation under his watch! Using your logic, I should blame Bruce for what his assistants did. It's hilarious that you say things like "he knew about the cheating" from your room surrounded by your band camp trophies. Meanwhile, the NCAA who investigated the whole thing from top to bottom, said he didn't.

I don't have a problem with either Bruce or Pearl now, because I believe people learn from mistakes. You just have an ax to grind. Plain and simple. That makes you a flaming, baton-twirling hypocrite.
