Per an insider who attended AU's monthly Athletic Department meeting it was like a "tent revival"

Jacobs Prayed over the AD and read scripture. He asked for those attending to pray for the Myers family and Chuck Persons' family.

Bruce Pearl arrived late with someone siting in his normal chair. Pearl joking said " Hey, I haven't been fired yet "

The NCAA is already involved in the AU / Persons case. They have asked for information regarding the 2 players involved. Likely that NCAA make their recommendation before the season starts on the 2 players. The 2 players will then be able to petition the ruling or pay back the money maybe depending on the sum.

Unlikely that Pettway plays a significant role this week.

Malik Miller "Is ready to bust out if he gets the opportunity. People don't realize how good he can be"

Staff has a "healthy respect" for Ole Miss offense.

Team is starting to get behind Stidham and believe in him more. His leadership has grown.

I wonder if it awkward for a Pearl in these situations. I am not sure how devout he is.

This is true.. but you never know how the NCAA will react.

If this is true, it is really sad! No reason to do this at a meeting. These two have brought dishonor to the family and deserve the full punishment that they received. NOTE: I am an active Christian and believe in the Word, but there is a place).

But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

People do, Malzahn does not. Prefers to play injured players.

Jacobs is responsible for:

1) Hiring an assistant coach who sexually harassed and had sexual intercourse with his players;

2) Hiring a head coach who supported said assistant coach;

3) Hiring an assistant basketball coach who has been arrested by the FBI for pay for play scheme;

4) Hiring someone who had something to do with this mystery going on with our women's basketball team that no one knows the hell about

But lets use the Bible as a shield and pretend to be a Godly person. Nice. Maybe he should hire Hugh Freeze next year as assistant AD.

Glad to see Gus making more decisions based on us calling his stupid arse out. Pettway shouldn’t have played last week.

He regularly retweets Jesus stuff / talks about spirtual type things with christian undertones

I normally wouldn't be surprised given it is Auburn, but Bruce is Jewish and coached the USA team for the Jewish Olympics

None of the things you listed show he isn't sincere in his faith. They are merely evidence that he probably isn't a good athletic director.

I'm almost positive as a government institution this is not allowed.

I've met quite a few AD staffers who feel judged for not being a teetotaler evangelical. I mean judged inthe "wrong kind" of Christian way

HE PRAYED! EVERYBODY FREAK OUT!

I honestly don't understand why everyone always freak out when someone prays. Personally I like to pray in private and not out in the open but if someone wants to do it out in the open then so be it. Don't believe? Don't pray and just be respectful. You think the guy is just trying to appear as a devout Christian when he's really not? Who cares. It's not your place to judge anyways.
