Roc also fumbles way too much. I'd much rather kerryon touch the ball, he's just as explosive

Surprising in that none of us thought about it, smart move by Barber though. He is buying high on his draft stock since he likely is the last man in the rotation next year

I seem to remember Barber having his own fumbling issues this year.

Good luck to him but he will be lucky to make a practice squad.

Barber's came at some bad times though.

What's the point in bashing a guy that's still on the team? Roc has been a productive player when he's been in the game. 5.5 yards per carry and 12.3 yards per catch. He adds another dimension to the offense that Barber never could.

He's not bashing the guy. Roc fumbles a lot. That's pretty known. Barber does not fumble a lot.

Doesn't matter what skills you have as a RB, you won't play if you fumble a lot.

Roc always seem to be on the verge of fumbling but never costs the team anything.

Considering what we've read before about his learning disability, it might be the case that the struggle to stay eligible is more difficult for him in his opinion than the struggle to TRY to get drafted. (
Not the case. In an article or espn segment on his dyslexia he stated he had a 3.0

And people remember it because it was the first carry of the Iron Bowl. If somebody can dig up exactly how many times Roc has fumbled Id like to see it. I've got a feeling it's not nearly as bad as the rep he's given.

Wow. I'm surprised, but it makes sense. He won't have the same kind of season next year, and this is his best shot at the NFL. Best of luck to him.

This might be best for us too. Now there won't be an obligation to give him carries.

I think the obvious reason is he didn't get near as many carries once Jovon got going.

2014 lost two fumbles on 43 rushes

Trying to find 2015

Edit: it looks like one fumble on 38 carries.

That's a fumble every 27 carries. Not good. But it is only three fumbles so maybe it's just bad luck but you have to take your opportunities when you get them in this league.

Look up Barber's while you're at it, please and thank you. Looked at a couple different sites but didn't see fumble stats

I'm finding these at auburntigers.com. Apparently they've started posting PDFs with every stat imaginable. I guess for NFL scouts or something.

Going to look for Barber's right now.

Barber had 3 fumbles with 0 lost fumbles on 226 carries this year. Giving him a fumble every 75 carries.

(All of Roc's fumbles were lost for both years)

Nice, I'm going to have to take a look at those. I'm a stats nerd when it comes to sports. Normally I look at sports-reference.com which is usually good, but they didn't have fumbles.

Thanks

That Iron bowl fumble wasn't a ball security issue though. It was a dumbass issue. I wouldn't count that in a discussion on if he is likely to fumble
