One thing offensively I never understood was why our guys never just put the ball out in front.

It is a decision making issue over skill. Thorne did it well on the TD to Fair. The throws both QB were trying to make were a much more difficult throw than if they just aired it out to the endzone.

Robby's two towards the end of the game to Burton were prime examples (just using these as they still are sticking out to me specifically). One of the Burton probably should have caught but it was a very difficult catch. There was nobody over the top, Burton had at least a half step on the DB already, with 25+ yards of grass to run on, yet the balls were thrown for him to have to make a jump catch over the defender/somewhat back shoulder. Thorne had a couple like this as well, I just can't remember who they were to anymore.

Flyin across the country and 3 time zones is just not a easy thing for this type of game. Cal will come to play. We had better clean up things

Not really much different than flying to Arkansas for a game. Just sit on a plane for a few extra hours.

Auburn is going to be middle of the pack, you can relax now. Heaven forbid someone thinks Auburn is a good team

I'm not sure where we are right now. Feels we can still be ranked in the bottom half of the conference right now. I think there a several teams better than us right now.

I didn't "study" the game Saturday, but just didn't feel we executed all that great. Yeah we destroyed them, but UMASS isn't good at all. Team still needs time to gel in the regular season. I think we'll improve a lot over the next few weeks.

Yea, I thought we did what we were supposed to do last game. Nothing more, nothing less but the box score doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies in hindsight.

UMASS did beat NMSU but both are among the worst teams in America. Hopefully we show up Sat night and just whip arse though.
