I do not see Muschamp going to UGA to be a coordinator under a coach that used to be his subordinate.

Its also being reported that USC is looking at Pruitt for HC now, looks like he is the backup if Smart declines USC's offer.

No chance Muschamp goes to UGA as DC, much better chance he takes the USCe HC. Still don't think that will happen, but yeah.

I'd be okay with TRob as DC if things with Muschamp fall through.

What about Butch Davis as DC?

I'd much rather have Lance Thompson as DC in the case that Muschamp leaves. He has more experience, has been a coordinator, and offers continuity. Fire Garner and offer T-Rob the Assistant Head Coach position.

I find it hard to believe Muschamp goes to UGA as DC. Just doesn't make sense to move his family again for a lateral move and not a huge raise if any raise at all.

Auburn has some defensive progress so it isn't like UGA shouts better short term job

these coaches have egos....

Will Muschamp was the DC at LSU when Smart was the DB coach in 2004. He would NOT go somewhere and be the subordinate to a coach he was once the boss of.

You don't know UGA athletics if you think they're going to pay $1.6 or greater for a DC. Why do you think Richt was one of the least paid HCs. He took a pay cut to get decent assistant coaches.

Apparently USCe has interest in Pruitt also. Looks like they want a D minded HC.

I couldn't give less us of a shite who they hire as long as it isn't Muschamp. We need him for at least one more year, but hopefully two. Hell, if Malzahn bombs next year, I'd be okay with him getting a shot at HC (barring a few good hires on offense).

Pruitt is already getting HCing interest? Dude can't lay off the coeds. He's like a less slimy Petrino.

So now USC is looking at Lincoln Riley.

In other words, they're no where close to deciding who they want. Names are just being thrown out there

They are going to completely drop the ball on this hiring.

I just read that Muschamp's agent is super agent Jimmy Sexton. I'm sure Muschamp will be getting a higher raise out of this...

If they're hiring Smart ("great" Defensive mind), why would they pay a shite load of money for a D. Coordinator like Muschamp?

PM was by far the most accurate concerning CWM during last years fiasco. He said at the very beginning CWM would be at Auburn and Trob would follow after x days, but nothing had been signed. For the next 10 days the world melted as CWM was going everywhere and when he did sign the next several days were Trob won't leave Florida because he is out recruiting. In the end what PM said happened.

I think PM has suggested he expects CWM to stay at Auburn but if he is offered another HC gig he will take it. I don't think that is rocket science.

I didn't want to make a new thread about it since we have so many new ones going on right now as it is, but I just wanted some clarification from my brothers and sisters from another mother.

So aside from this whole Muschamp thing, do we have any changing of the guard? I feel like we'll at least see some movement on offense. I mean shite, it can't get any worse.
