Saw somebody saying there were tweets saying that Muschamp has cancelled all in home visits. Anybody else hearing anything about this?

I'm no sunshine pumper, but for frick sake y'all are some melting m-fers. If JJ had been decent, we'd be looking at 8-10 wins this year. Had SW been the starter from the beginning and not gotten hurt, we'd be looking at 8-10 wins.

Everyone knew at best case Muschamp would be here 2 years and 1 year only was very possible.

Gus is a new head coach, he's learning as he goes. There will be bumps in the road, we need to relax a little. The team didn't quit and we were a few mistakes away from playing bama to the wire with a crap QB. Calm the melt.

But crap, what do I know?

think that Muschamp was a terrible hire for that reason. He wasn't going to make AU a top 10 defense within 1-2 years, but everyone knew that he'd be gone within that time frame. Hiring him was a waste of money and time.

That is some serious sunshine pumping. Sean White should have been named the started after the SDSU game. Sean White should not have been handcuffed to the point of paralyzing the offense when he was named the starter.

Eh I don't think you want to throw a redshirt freshman to the wolves on the road against LSU. I think they made right decision moving him when they did. I do agree that we should not have been so conservative against MSU but I think Gus was gunshy after JJ's meltdown

This is dumb. You go get the best period & he did that. Because he did that this season wasn't a complete suckfest. There is also chance Muschamp is back next season & we might actually field a competent offense. Never gonna bash a coach for trying to bring in the best

quote:

The problem with Malzahn is that I see in him the same types of flaws that I saw in Chizik. Dumb decisions, inflexibility, stagnation, regression, players that seem to be his favorites. I was a huge Malzahn fan, and it took a lot to turn me against him. His coaching this year was horrid. Horrid isn't a strong enough word, really. My level of anticipation for next year is at absolute zero.

I think the lack of QB development is the major concern with Gus. I think he addresses it tho. After 2014 season it was apparent we needed major work on defense so he went out & got the best guy he could & we saw progress. Now we see bad QB play, I expect he does what he can to fix that as well.

I understand the frustration. This season was a mess when we had such high hopes but for as bad as our QB play was we still should have gone 10-2. That's insane. I know it's hard these days but I think we need to show a little patience. I am not talking about the "trust the coaches" bullshite but the whole let's give the coach 4-5 years to actually build a program type of patience. If we come out next season & suck on offense then I think I jump on the anti Gus train but I am not going to discount the fact that before he was a coach at AU, we hadn't played for a national title in 50 something years. And in 6 seasons at AU as OC & HC we have won 2 SEC titles & played for 2 NCs. I don't think that's all luck

Muschamp is Bamas top DC target.

Pruitt is next in line.

Neither is good for AU.

You do know this is only college football right? If some of you fricks can't get enjoyment out of it, even in the bad times, you should step away from the fandom. In the grand scheme of things, this shite means absolutely nothing! It's a pastime, a good reason to get together with friends and family, and a way to escape everyday stressors - nothing more. But some of you fricked up individuals turn what should be enjoyable into a goddamned turmoil filled crisis. Quit being so attached to an athletic event.

Damnit

It's a risk but I say promote TRob & give him a shot. Would keep scheme consistent & probably most of the class together. Also think he could be a here a few seasons.

Still have hope we hang on to Muschamp but he is much more wanted man than I expected

Muschamp is a Saban guy. He has said as much publicly, even during his introductory presser at AU. He is also close friends with Kirby Smart and is actually the guy who got Kirby his start in college coaching (Muschamp convinced Saban to hire Smart in a football operations off-the-field entry level position at LSU). Muschamp also got Smart on at Valdosta St. as the DC after Muschamp bolted for LSU.

Therefore, I think the chances are very high one of the following things happens:

1) He takes the USCe job (45% chance).

2) He follows Smart to UGA (20% chance).

3) Saban hires him as DC (30% chance).

4) He stays at AU (5% chance).

Loyalty to AU for giving him his first job as GA, or none of the above would have happened=0%.
