That is the twirlybird. Whirly bird is the orbit motion play action 3rd down pass

The bigger issue with QB development (besides the apparent lack of any fricks given for mechanics or footwork) is that our passing routes are largely one route plays or set up plays that rely on the defense to read something a certain way for a guy to be open. They largely don't have to read any defenses at all, so when the defense doesn't bite and plays sound coverage, the QB is screwed.

JJ is the anomaly? What about Frazier? He was a success under Gus and Lashlee?

I agree with you on receiver routes. They are weak as frick.

JJ has all of the tools. It's between the ears with him, IMO. He is late with the throw constantly. I don't see him being coached that way.

Yeah, that was the same excuse I heard for KIehl Frazier too. It was mental. What a coincidence.

Frazier didn't play in the same system

Do you disagree? Do you think Loeffler's system is the same as Gus'?

I would agree that one of the two sucks at QB development. I definitely think there is enough evidence to support that. I just wouldn't say definitively that its Lashlee.

You mean the one year he played under Loefler, or the other years he played under Gus

Are you talking about the year he threw 12 passes as a freshman or the year he was a safety and we won the SEC?

Oh so you think development just takes place in games? Maybe now I can understand your problem.

You mean when he changed to safety after trying out for QB. Rewriting history is fun.

I'm saying we never saw him play in Gus' system so how do we know anything about his development under Gus? Which apparently is some outrageous statement

He couldn't start as a true freshman and couldn't start over one of the best QBs in Auburn history...great point

I certainly did. He had as many picks as completions that year. And everyone called me an a-hole for saying he would be a bust. (Same goes for Zeke Pike and Jermery Johnson)

a top rated high school QB who played in Gus' system and couldn't beat out a cornerback.

So are you suggesting they have an evaluation issue and not development?

You are getting as bad as jangalang.

SW was leading the SEC in completion % , and had one of the best in the nation, before he was hurt. Who do you put that on? Was it SW's talent or did Lashlee have anything to do with it?
